adamzs: Also, the Old Tree page I've added to IndieDB has just gotten authorized. Yay!
Congratulations.. I hope that's just the first big step taken and that it gets easier for you from now on. :)
Nice :D

I'm really happy that one of the best Indie Mags online looked into the game. And their review is quite good. Hope our friend from Hungary keeps up the good work and make this game an official release soon :)
You guys have certainly picked up on that post on IGM quick, we have just about finished cheering over here. :)

I follow IGM on twitter and was o_O when I read Play It: The Old Tree...
Congrats and I really hope you'll make the game downloadable... like another good flash game: Trauma

Well, before you and SirPrimalform mentioned making an EXE out of the game I've never considered it, but now I think we'll end up doing that eventually.

Oh that much is already a given for me. :) You have a great weekend too, and thank you and everyone here for the tremendous support.
Just a quick heads up - I've received reports that in some cases the game did not let people past the first screen on Mac computers, and that issue should be fixed now.

If anyone has that problem now (after refreshing the game page in their browser), please let me know.

Adam you and your team need to do couple of things now. Create a simple goodloking site, make the game as exe... after that done: contact IndieVania to add your game there for free or 0.99$ title. If you need help with anything in that matters you can always pm me ;)

Thanks for your suggestions. I can see that you're well-versed in the ways of the indie scene and well-worth listening to.

Nice one Spinefarm... my role is more, moral support than practicality, lol.

We always need fresh breath of air in gaming scene... and I'm a sucker for games that look like Limbo :D

adamzs: I thought I'd put my shame on a shelf for a few minutes to let you guys know about the project me and my team have been working on for the past few months and which is now complete.
And aren't you glad you did that now? ;-)

I'm impressed at the spontaneous PR machine that swung into action here. Good luck with everything :-)
I just played the game, it was really nice : simple, soft and atmospheric.

Having recently played the Samorosts and Machinarium, I felt The Old Tree was pretty close to that kind of experience (which is very good). It was closer to the Samorosts to be more precise, the environment is less detailed, more abstract, more about the atmosphere/ambient rather than the tiny little details.

Btw, I dunno if the palm tree next to the elevator trick is a hint at Machinarium or pure coincidence :)

I also noticed that the game is pretty dark (dark as in display contrast), maybe tweaking it slightly up, or lightening a little some rooms would make it even more immersive.

Now, with the current game, I wish it had a little more "strange" elements, something playing with the "realist" part of its universe, like some slightly improbable characters or physics : a weird creature moving around through weird ways (like growing ephemeral legs/roots) and/or made out of two smaller organisms, some sort of vibrations/sound shaking up the gravity field (liquids go into bubbles or various shapes, while your character's form is changing, creatures gets bigger/smaller/wider).
=> More funny crazy manipulations of the game's world, so the players would look around and try to guess what sort of weird thing would come on the screen, being really curious about the unknown.

(ps: I know it takes months to add a single feature, it's just what went through my mind after playing it)

Thanks a lot for sharing it with us :)
