Tormentfan: Finished it.... it's... lovely.
Cute design work and morish gameplay. I really did want to know what happened.
As I don't make games I wouldn't tell you how to (although that doesn't go for the big companies who expect £40 from me sight unseen).. saying that, my
opinion on a couple of points is as follows.
It's very dark.. I realise that's part of the charm of the art.. and it works.. up to a point, but I had to turn my light out to play it, that may just be me however... Secondly, I realise it's still a WIP, but you should get some sound for it ASAP.. not necessarily a full score, but definately some light musical cues... and they have to be light, bearly suggestive of music. Finally, I'd put more interactive items in it.. not that they need to be a part of the puzzle, but just something that happens if you don't press the thing that progresses the 'story'
Apart for that.. very well done indeed. Round of Applause.
Thanks for the feedback, Tormentfan. I too think the game's a bit too dark in some places, sometimes it's hard to see what's going on. We'll make sure to pay extra care to that in our upcoming game. Also, that game will be much less linear and will have more distractions, so expect some improvements in those areas as well. :)
music playing during the game. There is a small button in the bottom right of the game screen that turns sound on and off. Perhaps you've pressed that by accident?
