ddickinson: This is jus typical, I go to sleep and when I wake up I find that I missed the pillow fight, the lesbians, the porn and the popcorn :-).
This is exactly how I felt when I arrived at work 2h ago and opened this thread to read what had happened during the night :D
Now I want popcorn and it is still a long time before I can go home and make some *grumble*

Momo1991: I'm too tired to find actual proof but I remember hearing that most women are turned on by almost any kind of porn - m/w, w/w, m/m, kink etc... while men tend to be extremely particular in what turns them on...

Just thought I'd point that out in this thread that seems to say "Oh women only like point & clicks, HOG's and casual games" - the dichotomy just struck me as peculiar ;-p
As someone that don't really like watching porn, i wouldn't really be much surprised if that was the case. :P

Tekkaman-James: @Piranjade: Interesting. Did you avoid those "mostly male circles" because you were shy? Or were you afraid that they would, as they ended up doing, treat you like a "unicorn"? As for the internet...yeah, it has definitely become the place where prejudice has found a new home. Hopefully, that too will pass out of fashion some day.
avatar
Piranjade: I was kind of shy until I was 18 but I didn't avoid these circles.
It was just that I had my (female) friends and could live out my hobbies with them to a degree. Nights of playing Super Bomberman on the Super Nintendo or having a Diablo 1 LAN party, or just sitting on the floor playing MtG. Or just playing computer games on my own. I kind of didn't need those "mostly male circles". Also the "mostly male circles" often seemed to be much more serious or even professional about my/their hobbies than I was and I found that stressful.
I was quite shy too, and well still am (although the internet has helped me be a bit less timid so yay!), so i mostly kept my gaming hobby to myself. Coupled with being an introvert and having social anexiety... i was prettty awkward around people. So didn't really talk to a lot of people as a kid. >_>

My biggest influence with gaming back then was from watching my grandfather play games such as Tetris, Caesar, Civilization, Imperialism and Monkey Island so was only natural i grew to like those games. I'm pretty new to the rpg genre though, didn't get into it before 2002-2004 with Diablo 2 and Neverwinter Night 1 and from there i learned about DnD and got into that. Just a pity i don't know any gaming circles in real life, so i have never played DnD but i have read most of the sourcebooks (at least the forgotten realms ones).

What about gay popcorn pillow fights? ;)

I didn't even know popcorn had sexual orientation. This thread has been educational in many ways.

If that's what the guys want :-). But do men have sleepovers and pillow fights?

Since we are calling the girls pillow fight video GOG Girls Gone Bad. Maybe the boys can be called Bad Boys Of GOG :-).

Well now you know! And knowing is half the battle.

There are also asexual, bisexual and pansexual popcorns! :P

ddickinson: I'm not sure it's just because women are more tolerant towards it, but that man are often made to feel bad for being gay or bisexual. Many gay men have trouble coming out, because they feel ashamed or guilty, or because they will be judged. Where as a lot of women don't, they usually don't come out because of the negative attention it brings from men or the ridiculous stereotypes attached to being a lesbian. If societies attitude towards gay men would ease off, then more men would be comfortable being gay, or bisexual. It has come on a long way in the last few decades, and I'm sure with a little more time, society will become more tolerant with gay people, as more people come to understand that there is nothing wrong with it.
That's what I meant by seeing pretty sad sights in this regard. There was this stand up comedian that once made fun of this subject, in spite of admitting it is pretty sad, but when people see 2 men holding hands on the street they tend to abuse them verbally. However he begun joking around that when 2 women are seen holding hands, they are encouraged, mainly by males who think with their penis because sexually they look beautiful. I don't know. The joke itself didn't seem as much funny as it seemed sad, because I have witnessed such primitive beings who behave like that.

I encourage every guy to become gay, less competition is always good. :D

That would kind of doom the human race though, there would be no children if every guy was gay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km4VSIAKJ1w :-).

Edit: This was meant as a joke, I know there are ways that the human race could continue even if all men were gay.

Maybe there is a way to get people like Daniel Tammet to donate his precious next-step-of-evolution sperm for this purpose. It's really sad that so many brilliant guys don't reproduce.

Reminds me of this:

Have you ever played Rex Nebular? There is a similar situation in the game.

{SPOILERS} A Planet inhabited only by women, and for reproduction they use a gender bender machine. The only problem is that these women that use the machine don't act like real men, lacking the elegance and kindness of the male race (muhahahaha), which leaves them unsatisfied {/SPOILERS}

Even though it's only the male perspective of this matter, I find it real funny!

GeorgIsMe: Have you ever played Rex Nebular? There is a similar situation in the game.
I have played Rex Nebular and found it to be a very nice and fun game. The 90's made some wonderful and bizarre games, especially point-and-click and adventure games.

Indeed.

Crewdroog: For the Anime: I know that Attack on Titan is the anime of the hour, but I just couldn't get through it. The middle just kinda wound down way too much for me. Is it worth plugging through, am I the only one that felt this way?
No. I didn't like it at all.
Space Dandy was my fav this year.
avatar
Crewdroog: My first was Howl's Moving Castle. Sigh, so beautiful.

I love the character of Light in Death Note. No idea if it is still on Netflix, as they remove great anime so damn much.
avatar
Jonesy89: I hear you regarding Netflix removing Anime. I first saw Trigun this summer and fell in love with it. A few months later, and it's been dropped from the catalog faster then a hot potato coated in lava. Same thing happened with Avatar, and they don't even have a page up for Korra; ok, it's technically not anime, but I'm still steamed about it.
Trigun was excellent. I was very bored during the first several episodes, but a friend told me to stick with it. I'm glad I did.

ddickinson: How can you not like porn? Have you not seen the incredible actors and absolutely belivalble storylines of the US porn, or the high class British porn, or the unbelievably bizarre Japanese porn, or even the German porn... erm, enough said about German porn :-).
Oh, I love the acting. I'm not much into the sex. :P Japanese porn is somewhat intriguing though. For the weird factor.
