Oblivion once Shivering Isles was done and dusted, few months later they done a GOTY with Knights of the Nine, all the small bits of DLC like Horse Armor, Mehrunes Razor and the Isles expansion.

What they are doing here is essentially re releasing Skyrim with loads of extra stuff in it which is quite desirable if you like to collect, ideal Christmas Present for an avid Elder Scrolls fan.

I think by the end of next year latest after a HUGE expansion on par with Oblivions Isles they will release a fully fledged GOTY with everything in it.

StingingVelvet: I buy digitally and couldn't give a shit less if they ever bundle them. Acting like Skyrim was not worth full price by itself is batshit crazy.
Word!

It isn't even worth a quarter of it's price
See this is why i think Zenimax is become just another big name Nothing company :(
At least the Mass Effect Trilogy is coming for XMAS :)

With all due respect, he does have a point

While skyrim in itself isn't bad, it did suffer from even more streamlining and "Dumbing down" as well as being almost unplayable at launch due to bugs and issues
So, which of their CEOs gets the premium for the sales of this edition?

For one thing that's a very niche opinion. More importantly though I was speaking directly to the idea of waiting to get it all in a cheaper edition because "fuck those DLC money-grubbing assholes" kind of mindset. If Skyrim ain't worth the full price cost-to-content wise, no game is.

Shield bash. All your arguments are invalid.

Both are not "opinions", both are facts

You are are definitely right about the fact that Skyrim has a lot of content but there are reasons (listed previously) as to why people are not in a hurry to give bethesda money

'dumbing down' and 'streamligning' is an opinion, not a fact... The bugs are a fact, but it is mostly sorted now. It was worth the asking price, and it still is.(not the DLC's though, still waiting for a major addon like Shivering Isles)

I think you need to look up the word "fact" in the dictionary. I had no issues what-so-ever at launch other than the mouse feeling like shit and I think the game is deeper and more rich with roleplaying decisions and depth than Oblivion ever was.
Whenever I see threads like this bumped, I think for a moment I've gone back in time.

I'm sorry but in this case it IS a fact

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Differences_Between_Morrowind,_Oblivion,_and_Skyrim

Skyrim has less quests, less factions, less abilities, less magic schools and so on and so on

This is often called "Dumbing down"

Dude, you're being insufferable. The perk system, for me, makes it the first TES to really have true roleplaying. Therefore it is deeper by default. You can prattle on about whatever else you want, but it's OPINION.
