Pickpocketing levels up ridiculously fast. Steal a piece of jewelry valued at 500 somewhere mid-range and you gain several skill advancements at once. It becomes only slightly slower in the 90+ range.

With a perk you can nick a sword from the hands of a soldier while he's slashing a training dummy.
I'm really debating between leveling this character to max and doing everything or making a separate character for the thieves and dark brotherhood questlines.
Pssst... city guards recognise thieves' armour. Don't do anything about it, though.
It is a bit depressing, that the AI is soo stupid in the game :(

When I first encountered the Snowtroll, he killed in just a few seconds. Next try I just positioned myself on a rock that is far enough away and spiked him with arrows... the AI always walked the troll 2 steps to the left -> arrow -> AI walks the troll 2 steps to the right -> arrow -> start with the first step.

Took some time, but it is way too easy to trick the AI.
Ok, so I seem to be collecting a set of masks, they all have their own enchantments, name and come from a particularly powerful mages. Are they for something? No specifics please just a yes or a no.

I've nicked someone's named pelvic bone from a random guy's pocket, there's a tip on the loading screen about a weapon broken in pieces, and at the thieves guild you can get a quest to find 24 gems. Skyrim turned Ninroot collection up a notch.
I quicky googled and, yes priest masks do form a collection.

So I'm not just collecting these for giggles then? Now I think about it I did see the masks collected onto a statue on the loading screens.

Also, I have found two ninroots in game, I ate them though, I'm not falling for that one again :P

I haven't seen the quest for them. Let me look it up...
Just as in Oblivion, Nirnroot will not regrow once harvested.

There is also a different type of Nirnroot called "Crimson Nirnroot". Upon finding your first Crimson Nirnroot a quest is triggered.
Oh, snap. That Penny Arcade strip about collecting brooms is not far from the truth.
Is this a bug?

I have a Level 3 Warrior I've played for 22 hours (did I say reading books and tradeskills are fun? LOL). He is wearing Heavy Armor Boots and Bracers and Light Armor for everything else and my 2 armor skills are staying pretty much the same levelwise. (Both Heavy and Light armor Leveling at about the same time with usually Heavy Armor leveling first then followed by Light.

My Question, am I wrong in doing this? Meaning if I only used one type of armor would it be leveling twice as fast as my current arrangement?

Note at this point I'm only talking about 2-4 points leveled so far, can't exactly remember how much off the top of my head....

Right, that thing is TOUGH.
When I did that quest I nearly got killed by a snow wolf (or is it ice wolf?) on the way.
Still, even that thing is nothing compared to the sabretooth tigers and bears.. and dragons.
About what level do you have to be before you can realistically solo those things?
And by realistically I mean without drinking 50 potions and using AI glitches.
I got one dragon when it got confused between flying and trying to kill me and trying to kill me on land.. all it was doing was dancing while I shot it full of arrows.

Well you're barely level 3. I'm sure they'd advance faster if you were all in light or heavy armor, but still you're barely level 3 and armor only advances as you get hit so if you're a ranger it generally advances a tad slower, for example.
I love skyrim but I have problem...I am playing as Khajit and honestly

*minor spoilers*

Being werewolf as Khajit...cat that transforms into werewolf :/ ...thinking about rerolling (yes I want to stay cursed as werewolf)

I remind you that this is a world with boobed lizards and without a single crapper or a bath in sight.
Anyway, I bet, there will be a were-cat mod.
