Vandal: Hey folks! So yes, lots of you guessed correctly... not sure how our rather obvious hints (especially the Ohio one) really did any less to ruin the countdown than the CNET exclusive... but hey, I do apologize if anyone took offense to seeing the news there early. As I noted in another thread, we don't get a lot of opportunities to work with big news announcements, and whether you're a fan of Activision/Sierra/etc. or not, it's obviously a rather big deal in the grand scheme if we can get front-page coverage on CNET on the same day as the iPad announcement :) So again, sorry if it offended you, but hopefully we can make it up to you with some great games!
Check out this article at Neoseeker, too --
http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Games/Features/activision_joins_gog/ -- should give you some insight into why this is a big deal, as well as the process of signing someone like this.
I'm not offended by the leak, but it shouldn't happen for the next big announcements. I agree with you that it can also be seen as a positive thing here for my favorite site, as it was side by side with the iPad news (there was even a possible joke here at this thread, of gog games running on the apple tablet).
I hope to see a lot of interviews featuring GOG in the coming weeks, ok? And congrats for the team, for bringing Activision so soon here. ;)
