orcishgamer: Actually, nvm, it's a horrible game, you'll hate it.
timppu: In its present fragmented form, yes.
But as soon as the "complete edition" comes available also to EU, I will probably like it quite a bit. And it probably works great with Logitech F310 gamepad, just like the first game did. :)
IMHO, Darksiders 2 doesn't need any DLC. There are 3 small side campaign dlc* which span about a dungeon a piece. No new tools are introduced during these campaigns so all the zelda puzzles are variations on something you've seen before. Their stories are small and self contained. They have no effect on the main campaign. They can be a fun romp however.
Death Rides is very minor. It mostly a few easy collect x number of x quests. Several months back a fellow poster passionately argued with me that it wasn't worth 25 cents. I think I might have lost. XD
Beyond that it's just weapon and armor dlc. It is in no way comparable to Doom 2's double barrel shotgun. Darksiders 2 uses diablo style loot. You get random drops from defeated enemies with random stats. As you level up you get better drops/ loot and old stuff becomes obsolete. The DLC is just some predefined loot with themes. You'll have to level up to use it and it will become obsolete. The drops you find and the items sold in shops may be better. It's possible that it could you an edge for a limited amount of time but I never found myself using it.
I really enjoyed my time with Darksiders 2. If you liked the original I think you should try it at some point. They're equals in my view.
