nijuu: When does this sale actually finish? ie how many more dailies after current one?
Sale says until the 22. My guess is we'll have a round of repeats, then normal schedule resumes on Monday with new daily deal and weekly deals.

Edit: Checking XCOM's page (was one I clicked randomly) it says:
SUMMER SALE! Offer ends in 31:17:11
So one more day.

orcishgamer: Actually, nvm, it's a horrible game, you'll hate it.

timppu: In its present fragmented form, yes.

But as soon as the "complete edition" comes available also to EU, I will probably like it quite a bit. And it probably works great with Logitech F310 gamepad, just like the first game did. :)
IMHO, Darksiders 2 doesn't need any DLC. There are 3 small side campaign dlc* which span about a dungeon a piece. No new tools are introduced during these campaigns so all the zelda puzzles are variations on something you've seen before. Their stories are small and self contained. They have no effect on the main campaign. They can be a fun romp however.

Death Rides is very minor. It mostly a few easy collect x number of x quests. Several months back a fellow poster passionately argued with me that it wasn't worth 25 cents. I think I might have lost. XD

Beyond that it's just weapon and armor dlc. It is in no way comparable to Doom 2's double barrel shotgun. Darksiders 2 uses diablo style loot. You get random drops from defeated enemies with random stats. As you level up you get better drops/ loot and old stuff becomes obsolete. The DLC is just some predefined loot with themes. You'll have to level up to use it and it will become obsolete. The drops you find and the items sold in shops may be better. It's possible that it could you an edge for a limited amount of time but I never found myself using it.

I really enjoyed my time with Darksiders 2. If you liked the original I think you should try it at some point. They're equals in my view.

Snickersnack: ...
Thanks for the review, I guess it cleared it a bit. Anyway, to me it isn't that much different from how I don't want to buy e.g. Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon from GOG as they are missing the expansion packs, or how I didn't want to buy Alpha Centauri until it had the Alien Crossfire expansion pack. I'm sure they are/were great games even without the expansion packs, but still.

Multiplayer-only and _purely_ cosmetic (ie. no effect to gameplay whatsoever) DLCs are a different thing, I'm happy to pass them. But my frustration usually comes from trying to figure out, which of the dozen or so DLCs for certain game are such. Easier to just pick the whole package I guess, and make up my own mind which DLCs are worth it and which are not, by actually playing them.

acarlson412: I own it. It's pretty fun if you're into never-ending hordes of police rushing at you. It's basically Left 4 Dead with police instead of zombies. If you do get it, I could perhaps put in some games with you if you wanted.
Ahh thanks. I ended up missing the deal though. I read something in a review which put me off then I forgot about it.
I hope they put Pro cycling manager 2013 in one of the flash deals :/

A question. Have anyone here filled the information that steams demand for having near 200 items listed in the Market? I have some games bought from amazon US, should I be worried if i fill that information and they detect that I have some games bought from Amazon US?
Don't miss the Civ 3 for a great price of 1.24 USD:

Well, I am shut off at this point. I've enjoyed the fun and got some good deals on games I had on my wish list and got sucked into some impulse buys but that is okay.

I think the one I was happiest about was Risen 2 coming down to $5.00 and $7.50 with the DLC which was what I went for. It's been on my wishlist for a long time. The Novalogic Everything Pack was another highlight with a lot of great old games included. Last but not least, I tried the European Truck Simulator and really liked it so at 75% off I was happy to pick that up too. Oh, and Doom 3 BFG at only 5 bucks was the right price for that finally.

There is more I know I am forgetting but those are some ones I'm particularly happy to have gotten at such good prices. I enjoy the big Steam sales. It is fun checking regularly for flash deals, the new daily deals, the stuff on my wishlist that's on sale, this time around the voting with the free cards I could sell. I did craft the first level summer sale badge but then I sold the rest. :D
Yep, done. I pretty much only have DLC's left on my steam wishlist now.

Grabbed the following:
Call of Duty Black Ops
Call of Duty Blacks Ops 2
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Season Pass
Iron Front w/ D-Day DLC
Rainbow Six Vegas
Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Rome Total War Collection
Medieval II : Total War Gold
Rising Storm
Half Life Complete
Walking Dead - 400 Days
Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity
Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion
Drakensang : Phileasson's Secret
Warhammer 40k: Winter Assault, Dark Crusade, and Soulstorm
Sleeping Dogs with a couple DLC's
X-Tension
X: Beyond the Frontier
X2 : The Threat
Agricultural Simulator 2013
Farming Simulator 2013
SimBin Mega Bundle
Sid Meier's Civilization : Brave New World
Theatre of War II Africa
Theatre of War III Korea

Basically just rounding out certain collections.

Steam could have dragged another $100+ dollars out of me, all they had to do was throw up all the Call of Duty map packs on sale, but for some reason Activision is not playing nice this summer.

It either ends tomorrow or Thursday, the 25th.
Every day I see people shitting on COD left and right, yet somehow people keep buying that shit. Even people from GOG.

Nope, the game is awful, quit trying to convince him. It's a terrible game that he won't like.

Not me. I bought MW1 (last of the good ones) from a friend for $5, pirated MW2 and MW3 to play the SP , bought Black Ops 1 cause its actually OK...skipped the 2nd...

I've been selling cards and buying games with the money I make but I've now got £3.26 left over. Any ideas what to spend it on? The only things that have caught my attention so far are Overlord and Oddworld games, but I'd rather buy them on GOG.

I might just wait until tomorrow's sale and see if anything catches my eye there..

Most people on GOG just hate on modern games for hipster cred, but whenever a Steam sale comes they are first to open their wallets for the newest installment of Gears of Duty XIIII: Call of Scripted Warfare

I don't know prices in pounds, but good non-indie and non-gog games in this price range would be:
- X2: The Threat
- Metro 2033
- The Last Remnant
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2
- Saints Row 2

One of them would be my choice...
