DyNaer: Last entrie perfectly applies to the summer sales :P

Pheace: Not if you're like me and have already had it in your backlog since the last big sale >.>
well that's understable of course.

System shock a 2.5 € is very tempting... Usually I prefer to have this kind of game on gog, but I don't think we'll see a -70% discount here.. T.T

maycett: System shock 2 is 75% off ($2.50) for the next 8 hours. Will I like this game if I don't like horror or shooters in general?
Hard to say. It's more unsettling than outright scary. Also, it depends on why you dislike shooters; there's a lot of things in the game aside from shooting, it's certainly not a fast-paced twitch shooter. Basically, it's a game about atmosphere, story, exploration/discovery, and inventory management (and I do mean this in a positive way).

Edit: wait, SS2 has trading cards :o

Sachys: Just been playing it -
the enviromnet design is great (I mean REALLY very nicely done).
the base gameplay feels similar to dead space in a way - though there are some differences of course
the voice acting isnt great - but if you can watch a lower grade scifi or horror film for the better elements it wont bother you.
there are some graphical glitches / flaws.
for me none of this has been game breaking.
so far for the $2.49 / £1.?? price tag its been worth it for me - had i paid more i might not feel the same way but its worth that price if you arent too low on funds

Austrobogulator: Thanks, I suppose I may as well just go ahead and get it. If it is essentially Dead Space but bad, then I can deal with that - after all, I did play Dead Space 3 :O
I played to, too. similar to Dead Space yes, but I would not say it's intrinsically bad. It's not quite as good as DS generally, yes. I mean DS was great. Afterfall ist just a bit slower since most of the time you are doing melee combat. Save your Ammo.
I like it a lot.

I suggest getting a few tips on character building. With some combinations the game might become just unwinable for starters.

Im tempted but im also pro Gog unlike the OP and there is always a chance of the game getting a good discount perhaps Xmas or sometime :).

Perhaps. No purchasing rush with rebuying classic games imo. That's why I still have some games on my wishlist here.
If I had the money, Metro: Last Light would be instant-purchase. I'll have to wait for the Thanksgiving sale :B
Does anyone have a link for this sale's history (all daily deals, flash sales, etc) ?

Too bad it's not a penny.

Edit: Wait a sec, wasn't System Shock supposed to be 80% off? It says 75% off for me.

I'm disappointed in this sale so far.
I'm currently thinking on this one: You Need a Budget 4

Anyone tried it?
Anyone got any RPG recommendations from the sale? I've had an RPG itch for a while, JRPG maybe. Nothing too modern as my machine is getting a bit dated now.

I was considering The Last Remnant but I'm not sure. I've heard mixed things.

Nope, 75% was the price, or at least that was the price 3 hours after it went up for vote.

Not tried it myself, but I'm considering that one as well. I've looked around on various sites and most people seem to recommend it. I think I'll buy it.
