Hm... can't decide whether to grab L.A. Noire Complete Edition for $5.09 (-83%). I've wanted to try it for a while, but some people say it's a terrible port and some people say it works decently for them... And I know if I pick it up for a console it's going to cost more and be tied to a quickly dying piece of hardware. Choices, choices. :/

Also hope that "Masterpiece - Classic" wins the Community Choice. Might pick up all the F.E.A.R. games if they're all discounted, and might even get an extra Steam copy of System Shock 2 for $1.50.
Is RTW2 actually any good?. Undecided about the Dishonored DLC Brigmore Witches.....

I don't think it is a bad port as it worked perfectly on my computer, the frame rate is locked at 30 FPS and that is what some people complained about. The game is like a noir movie so the 30 FPS was intentional and part of the experience. It is a really good game which is on sale at a great price. :)

AngryAlien: So far the score is GoG ~20 : Steam 0

So far Steam really had nothing to offer to me, the games I want are either still too expensive OR, since I am german, I can only get the censored version and I will NEVER pay money for something like that. (Well, I would have bought Wolfenstein TNO, since this is the best shooter I have seen in a long time and I would have given a crap about removed symbols. Unfortunately they also made a new synchro for the german version, removed all "arians" and "Nazis" from spoken text and made it impossible to switch to another language. And the german synchro plain sucks.)

Even the Bioshock: Infinite season pass is still 9.99 Euros and in my opinion that is still too expensive, given how long this is out and that there is a sale going on. In the end I did not even care to check what this Red vs. Blue thing is. On Gog on the other hand I kinda went on a rampage, at least by my standards, and bought tons of stuff. And quite a lot of it was a "What the hell, I might like it and for THIS price..." kind of buy. And that is the whole purpose of a sale, isn't it? To lure people into buying things they did not even know they want or need or, in the best case, they did not even know?

So I guess GOG does a lot of things right, while Valve/Steam do everything wrong they can, at least in my book.
Nice logic, because Steam is the one who set the price.

Blame the publishers/developers. Steam doesn't have anything to say on pricing.

Same here. The price is really good, but i've seen many people on the Steam forum saying that it's a crappy port. I'll skip it i think.

The 30 FPS limit is because of the facial animation techonology.

Well, here's the list og games I took:

Spelunky (already completed)
Rogue Legacy (completed too)
Gone Home (just to test the italian translation, completed too)
Rayman Legends
Outlast (played on PSPlus, but I want this one, I miss the DLC sadly)
Risk of Rain (actually a mistake, I have eye problems and I can't see what happen on the screen, characters are too small, so I won't play this one)
Papers Please (I'm on Day 11, great game)
Battleblock Theatre (actually, I don't like it. I loved Castle Crashers so much, but this one is too simple, levels are uninspired)
Don't Starve (I already did a topic on this)

All with Steam wallet credits from card selling, I have 3€ on my wallet yet.
My haul, since it's likely to be final:
1. Kill The Bad Guy
2. Crimsonland
3. Valiant Hearts: The Great War
4. Plague Inc: Evolved
5. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Though I actually purchased only two of those titles from the Store myself. Bought Kill The Bad Guy from CDON.com with a gift card and with a -5€ voucher. Bought Crimsonland from some Russian dude with 6 dollars (plus PayPal fees). Traded Sid Meier's Pirates for Valiant Hearts.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Yeah, I was able to find a topic on the Steam community about the quality of the port where most people seemed to say that it was was a much better port than GTA IV and didn't give them many issues. That combined with the fact that I'm looking at at least $7 - 8 for even a used console version on eBay made me decide to go ahead and give it a try. I've occasionally played games without issues and later found out that some people consider them buggy or bad ports, so I know that experiences can vary and the people with issues can be the most vocal. :)

Oh, I am absolutely aware of that. I am also aware that Valve is not responsible for the terrible 1 USD = 1 Euro policy. And I have never said something like "The Bioshock: Infinite season pass is more expensive than the base game and this is Valves fault!", but in the end this won't change that the price for this product is too high for me.

And I DO blame Valve for the complete and utter indifference towards the interests of the customer. It is not Valves fault that my gouvernment believes german citicens are weak minded, violent creatures which will go on a killing spree as soon as they play an uncensored version of "Resident Evil 4". But it IS Valves fault when they simply refuse to install a proper age check (and not just "are you of legal age? Yes/No") in order to allow adult german players to get their hands on uncensored versions of their games - which would be completely legal and possible as long as the game is not on the infamous B-list of indexed games.

I blame Valve for making ordering games in countries other than germany or trading games a risky game, because tehy randomly choose not to activate those copies for german customers, without refund, of course. And I blame them for even arbitrarily and forcibly changing un-censored versions of games into the censored version without even sending a notice.

What I wanted to say is that Valve did a lot of things which resultet in Steam being less and less attractive to me as a customer and that this sale is showing this. Sure, I am still using Steam (for one simply because I am forced to in order to play certain games) and yes, every now and then I still rent a game here, when it is cheap. But the last summer sale that made me something buy was 2 years ago, I think, and maybe this means they are doing something wrong, considering how easy I can be lured into spending money when it comes to computer games.

That I can agree with (censorship). When you've bought something uncensored, they shouldn't touch that copy. No matter what happens. That's the fail part of Steam.
Until now I bought:

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified + DLCs
Ducktales Remastered
A few Borderlands 2 DLCs not covered by the Season Pass
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes + DLCs

Thinking in get Deus Ex: The Fall today (is 75% off like the rest of the series)

Waiting for better promos:
King's Bounty: Warrior of the North DLC
Spellforce 2: Demons of the Past (I know is available in GOG, but I have all the rest of the series in Steam)

And certainly will grab Of Orcs and Men before the end of the sales

Good choices, and now I "have" to pick Deus Ex - The Fall too.. Meh.
Can anyone offer an opinion on F.E.A.R. 2 Reborn DLC ($2.49)? Destructoid says it's action is dull without challenge mainly viewing sights looking for the next story marker... is that right?
Damn, i missed F1 2013. I really wanted that game. Anyone knows if it has been featured as a daily already?
Baldur's Gate 2 EE.. No French but I'll search for a patch, like the first. Good deal.
