zeroxxx: Nice logic, because Steam is the one who set the price.
Blame the publishers/developers. Steam doesn't have anything to say on pricing.
Oh, I am absolutely aware of that. I am also aware that Valve is not responsible for the terrible 1 USD = 1 Euro policy. And I have never said something like "The Bioshock: Infinite season pass is more expensive than the base game and this is Valves fault!", but in the end this won't change that the price for this product is too high for me.
And I DO blame Valve for the complete and utter indifference towards the interests of the customer. It is not Valves fault that my gouvernment believes german citicens are weak minded, violent creatures which will go on a killing spree as soon as they play an uncensored version of "Resident Evil 4". But it IS Valves fault when they simply refuse to install a proper age check (and not just "are you of legal age? Yes/No") in order to allow adult german players to get their hands on uncensored versions of their games - which would be completely legal and possible as long as the game is not on the infamous B-list of indexed games.
I blame Valve for making ordering games in countries other than germany or trading games a risky game, because tehy randomly choose not to activate those copies for german customers, without refund, of course. And I blame them for even arbitrarily and forcibly changing un-censored versions of games into the censored version without even sending a notice.
What I wanted to say is that Valve did a lot of things which resultet in Steam being less and less attractive to me as a customer and that this sale is showing this. Sure, I am still using Steam (for one simply because I am forced to in order to play certain games) and yes, every now and then I still rent a game here, when it is cheap. But the last summer sale that made me something buy was 2 years ago, I think, and maybe this means they are doing something wrong, considering how easy I can be lured into spending money when it comes to computer games.
