We don't get enough of these on a weekly basis that we have to resurrect old ones too?
Is essentially for me... work Saturday night through Thurs morning... yay for nightshift and fucked up sleeping patterns though :/

Bigs: Usually only when the great unwashed come out looking for freebies... But no. GOG do not have games that activate on Steam.

yyahoo: You fell for a necro... :/
why do people do this...

speedrat: Why not?

rtcvb32: As much as i want to make a Snarty response, i won't.

Steam and it's client and DRM clash vs GoG's ideals. Simple as that.
I don't know why you would make a snarty (whatever that is) comment, I don't know why. It's a legitimate question. Not here to necro (whatever that is) or to get free stuff. I bought Witcher 2 many moons ago and actually forgot it was on here. Just wanted to add it to my Steam account for simplicity. Anyway thanks for the legit answers.
Why the hell are people suddenly downvoting a post that's more than a year old? The guy didn't even make any demands or express dissatisfaction in any way. He just asked a simple question, and was polite and courteous throughout.

What is wrong with you people? Stay classy...
I just picked up AOW for free and I was wondering if I could activate that on my PS2?

Yes, but only with a WiiU...

Because i hate steam for what it's become and with it's DRM and would love to blame steam on the bad weather i'm having right now... even if it's not related... yeah i know it's not good logic.

The Witcher 1 & 2 are really cheap, if you wanted to buy a new copy on steam to keep things simple, go ahead when it's heavily on sale, otherwise i don't recommend it, stick with the DRM-free version.

You keep your filthy PS2 out of these forums, boy! Don't you know I just cleaned.

And we have company!

GOG has sold off one of its ideal before. Who knows when they sell the second and the third one.

Fictionvision: No, GOG doesn't sell steam keys.

JudasIscariot: And we never will :D
That's the right spirit! ;-D +1

Depends. There's the phrase 'you can't have your cake and eat it too', and in life it's about balancing choices and pros and cons. In order to get more games that are possible (vs games in permanent limbo) one of the ideals had to be bent. On the flip side they try to keep it in line with their ideals as much as possible. But to be fair, if 90% of people prefer to buy during sales when games are heavily discounted, then it doesn't really matter if the game(s) are region priced. Although there are still games that go as little as 10% sometimes...

Maybe later down the road negotiations will happen and region pricing will go away... But even if GoG somehow got infected with some of the evil of what Blizzard, Gamer's Gate, Ubisoft, Square Enix and Steam, has; It was mandatory, and still a lesser of the evils in comparison by putting the customers first as, as much as possible anyways.
(To answer the main question) Nope.

Maybe that should be:

Just to be a pedant...

...this is probably the most misquoted phrase of all time. It's actually You can't eat your cake and have it too which, when you think about it, actually makes more sense.

Anyway, sorry for the off topic, but I'm feeling pedantic today. :)
