zeroxxx: GOG has sold off one of its ideal before. Who knows when they sell the second and the third one.
Depends. There's the phrase '
you can't have your cake and eat it too', and in life it's about balancing choices and pros and cons. In order to get more games that are possible (
vs games in permanent limbo) one of the ideals had to be bent. On the flip side they try to keep it in line with their ideals as much as possible. But to be fair, if 90% of people prefer to buy during sales when games are heavily discounted, then it doesn't really matter if the game(
s) are region priced. Although there are still games that go as little as 10% sometimes...
Maybe later down the road negotiations will happen and region pricing will go away... But even if GoG somehow got infected with some of the evil of what Blizzard, Gamer's Gate, Ubisoft, Square Enix and Steam, has; It was mandatory, and still a lesser of the evils in comparison by putting the customers first as, as much as possible anyways.
