OldFatGuy: Yes, I understand the fee is done by the bank(s). But isn't it possible that GOG has changed something in how they handle credit cards to where now it gets the attention of the banks that they're foriegn and deserving of a fee whereas before however they handled credit card sales the banks didn't notice that they were foriegn??
For example, suppose before they had a bank account that accepted straight dollars into the account whereas now they have an account that requires all dollar sales be converted to Euro's before being credited to their account. Isn't that possible as an explanation too?
Possible. It is also possible MasterCard and Visa have changed their systems to make it more easily known. Or it's possible you banks changed policies or are simply paying better attention. Difficult to say without contacting the banks to ask them what changed. I'd argue despite the coincidence that it is still more likely something on their end than GOG's. But possibly GOG changed their reporting. For example, suppose before they had a bank account that accepted straight dollars into the account whereas now they have an account that requires all dollar sales be converted to Euro's before being credited to their account. Isn't that possible as an explanation too?
