GameRager: They weren't punishing anyone. You got a free game if you didn't have it already and discounts on other games were had by everyone else. IMO that was pretty nice of them. For others to complain(possibly) that they didn't get more/enough seems petty to me. :\
You're being obtuse. I didn't get anything free, all I got was the same discounts that everybody else got and the privilege of listening to everybody go on about how generous GOG was with them. And believe you me, that's none too special as most retailers have discounts during the holiday season.
Well, the thing is that where I'm from it's not considered generous to openly give something to half the class and nothing to the remaining students. It really degrades the whole spirit of things to have others restricted to appreciating the generosity being given to others without being included at all.
I haven't exactly been boycotting GOG, but I have greatly slowed the rate at which I've bought games and thinking twice about buying games that I won't have time to play in the immediate future in case I get left out again in the future.
