Tarnicus: I wrote one of the three posts I intended to Suggestions for forum changes I am reconsidering my decision purely due to the overhwelming replies I have had via PM and in this thread. I am taking time, where able given my time being a bit more limited, to find a balanced path forward where I don't say "screw you guys, I'm going home" <3

Thank you all again for your replies, I'll get the next post written when I am able to.
Truly glad and relieved you're reconsidering, looking forward to reading your next posts and having you around, even if on a non-frequent basis. :-)

You are one of those lovely people who have considerably helped to sway my decision on this matter(I don't like picking an individual, as there are many) but we've can always be in touch by other means :)

What I find ironic and indicative of some of the issues on this site, is that the post I linked above was low rated in a matter of seconds(swiftly followed by uprepping to balance it out) and my reply of thanks for the acknowledgement of being noticed and thus downrepped in that reply, has also been lowly rated.

I wonder if people think that affects me? I mean sure I notice but I take it as a compliment unless I'm coming across as an arse, and therefore would down-rep myself at a later stage :P

Really glad to know that, I learned about this thread of yours only yesterday and sadly had no time to add a comment before going offline, but believe me, you staying would be the best gift of all, Tarnicus. :)

EDIT: And, if that's OK, I'd like to add an extra vote on behalf of <span class="bold">K_1269</span>, he's one of our most generous givers and doesn't usually enter in any GA for himself, he certainly deserves to win Age of Wonders. :)

Also, as I already told you in my PM, it's great to hear that you are reconsidering your decision to leave Tarnicus! I personally would be very happy if you end up staying :)

Frankly, I see your problem right there, at the end of your first paragraph:

Even that is all meant to, ultimately, make everyone happier, so it's really a net energy gain. But never imagine for a second that your eloquence will change the world. This is the internet, and it hasn't changed for all the decades I've been on it. Now forget this thread, forget the forum, the PMs, everything, and go play a game. Both Grimrock and Aarklash sound too cerebral, so just play some Serious Sam. Invite Munki, too - it makes for great co-op >:-)

So glad to hear that you are reconsidering your involvement in this community, Tarnicus!

I think that the grievances and ideas that you shared in your linked post are justified and very reasonable to accommodate. I hope that the GOG moderators take your words to heart. Even in the event that they don't, I hope that you understand that many people share your views and are willing to band together to support and/or enforce them.

When the internet isn't busy churning out cat videos, they sometimes produce something insightful.
Some of them are simple, but no less true.
