Gundato: Not really. This is a largely MP game (from what I can tell), so you would want to be online anyway. So the DRM isn't THAT bad for this one.
Delixe: Actually it is it runs on the same servers so if everyone is playing AC2 it will affect the server load when trying to play RUSE online. I'm sure the load wont increase that much as RUSE is unlikely to be as popular as AC2 however remember that the DRM acts independently of the MP servers. This i will not only increase lag due to the fact you now have two packets of data being sent and received by the same game but if the DRM servers lose your connection you are not only dumped out of the MP game but dumped right back to the title screen. Then of course you can look forward to playing on the day Splinter Cell: Conviction is released.
Again, those are problems with the DRM model itself. And RTSs tend to not be as twitch-gamey as FPS, so a slightly higher ping won't kill you.
And how was AC2 ruined by the DRM, outside of people who couldn't connect to the server over the weekend while they were ironing out the bugs? Just chalk that up to how so few games are released in playable states these days.
I don't like the DRM-model any more than you guys, but the game isn't being ruined by it. Maybe our enjoyment is (because we feel the need to boycott on principle), but the game itself is fairly untouched. Especially for an MP-oriented game.
