Planescape 2orment: The Reckoning, the FPS sequel to the wildly popular 1999 RPG. Developed and published by Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax.
you know, you can always choose to ignore those sequels/prequels and never see them in theatres or spend money on dvd's/BR, that way maybe they'll understand that making sequels of films that don't need sequels (blade runner) or making prequels of films that don't need prequels (alien) is not so viable.
And maybe they'll stop? Who knows...

I'd buy that for a dollar!

Though maybe it'd be called Planescape: Payback. You are the Nameless One. You wake up at the morgue and go out to find and kill those who killed you. You are still weak, you don't yet have the weapons you need, but you know one thing: you cannot die.

But really, an FPS set in a Planescape style universe could be interesting.

I was joking.

It's my way of weeding out the unworthy
Decker is a Nexus 6 just the fact that Scott has made that official tells me that this "sequel" is going to be painful.

Really? You were joking? What a shock!

That doesn't make it a bad idea, though. Could be better for Torment fans like me than Project Eternity, which I'm pretty disappointed with so far.

You're disappointed with PE, which thus far is only a vague story concept and some lore, and yet you'd LIKE to see a PST sequel made in first-person?!

You are a man of many mysteries.

Considering that PS:T had the infinity engine and looked superficially like Baldurs Gate, I don't see why the greatness shouldn't also be achieved with a setting equally bad suited for good RPGs.

You think isometric overhead perspectives are bad for RPG's?

The worst. Kills immersion like some guy selling DLCs ingame. Especially if it is derived from a failed RTS.

That was made official a long time ago. The final cut made it pretty obvious.

Iso perspective in RPG's isn't derived from RTS, it's derived from the overhead perspective first used in early C64 roguelikes and Ultima. That kind of perspective is necessary for tactical placement of party members in battles, immersion should always be a secondary consideration when we are talking about games.
