Elmofongo: This is why I happen to like Chris Redfield better, I miss his REmake model already:

darthspudius: Have you ever played the original PC port? It's got to be one of the worst ports in history. I'd rather pay the extra for a game that actually has lighting and shadow FX.
F4LL0UT: I did and the lighting/shadow issue was fixed soon after release in an official patch which was a free download.
It wasn't a great patch. You also have the problem of low resolutions. No mouse support (doubt there will for the HD version) and other shitty little issues. I remember using it then just giving up and buying a gamecube.
I would rather pay for one that is a proper version of the game. That version was an incredible pile of shit that should never be allowed to be sold. £15 is a good price for a classic.
Paradoks: I'm surprised to be honest. I wasn't expecting another PC port. Let's see, what do we have here...
"First time on PC in HD".
Incorrect. Original port already allowed it.
"60 fps"
OK. Now this is interesting because all versions released so far were locked at 30 (correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure that I've read reports about latest console release running at 30 fps).
I really enjoyed RE4 so I'll probably end up buying it (again). Still, I would be more interested in Devil May Cry ports.
My old 16" square monitor had a bigger resolution than the maximum settings for the original pc version. I would barely call it HD! lol
