JMich: It does look like that. It isn't. In the year you joined (2010) GOG had released 35 pre-2K games (and one more that was released on GOG 10+ years after its original release date). There were a few more games that one could consider classics (IWD 1 and 2 released at 9 and 8 years old for example), but I'm only listing games 10+ on GOG release date.
So far in 2013 (the "year of decline" according to many), GOG has released 37 pre-2K games and if we count 10+ years old, the number rises to 50. So GOG is releasing more classic games, and more often than it did before. But when people see a game they don't want, they ignore the others.
You make some interesting points. I'd still like to see 2 classic games a week and have gog highlight it's work with classic games a bit more (the secretive thing really doesn't work for them anymore) but I can understand the current focus on indie funding etc to try and actually get the market before bundles and steam. You've got me looking at it differently anyway; I just miss having the tidy and focused good old games website. (I hate how messy and poorly organised catalogues are in digital distribution sites.)
Gog was a treasure trove of nostalgia when I joined, now I'm nostalgic for GoG. Rose tinted glasses maybe.
Lol noob? Wow that's pretty much a universal sign of idiocy and immaturity. Congratulations!
