michaelleung: I'm on my third (fourth?) 360 already, and I think it's one of them Jasper ones, so that's a good sign. About the Go, I hope Gran Turismo comes out on disc (like they promised us back in oh, 2004?!) because I don't think I'll get it that way. Then again, it should mean that all games would be sold on the PSN, which is available on the PSPs that we've all come to know and love.
But I haven't actually used a PSP UMD since 2007 (I have CFW, so I just rip my UMDs to my 4GB stick to play both backups and "backups") so obviously Sony has nailed its demographic. Whether or not that demographic will want to ditch their perfectly working PSPs (mine has ONE dead pixel, but whatever) in favor of this new system which effectively is a sacrifice between the classy disc system for the harder-to-homebrew PSP Go is something that remains to be seen this fall. I already know one person who will preorder it anyway.
CDRiccio: GT is said to be coming, but it sounded like it will be in DL form. Whether or not it will be available both ways has yet to be seen I think. I still use my PSP a lot and I love it! And I would probably get the Go if they made it possible to easily transfer UMD games to it. But I don't see that happening.
I think what will really sell the Go will be price. They need to price this thing at the same price or less than the DS lite.
I expect it to be sold less than the PSP 3000, because it has no disc drive. Then again, I've always been wrong on this kind of stuff.
