GameRager: Still, you shouldn't keep the main plot at a standstill forever, and why couldn't the current universe still have stuff made for it(as set in the past/etc when the old universe was still current) along with the new, with both universes having content made for them side by side?

Ralackk: Well that certainly would be an option its up to GW to advance anything in the warhammer universe. They are very protective of their IP and seem to be do well with it. I personally like it as it stands, as do alot of other people.

Thats not to say there isn't ever any changes in the 40k universe. Both the Necrons and the Tau were not always apart of the fluff of the game. They both got added in later and written into their own storys. With the size of the universe they could add another race at any point and write those in as well.

So they can and do change parts of whats going its just the setting they want to keep as it stands. Like I said it really is more of a backdrop for all the other things that happen rather then the focus of the universe.
I'd still like to see an end to the war and possibly a new one after the emperor is reborn & possibly man unites with some races to confront some other problem and another war begins...see? Main storyline would advance, yet the war would carry on and everyone would win someway.

Dude, again...stop acting all egotistical. If you were just a fan you wouldn't be raging so much over someone knowing less about the universe or wanting change in some way to it.

There is nothing egotistical about it. You haven't read anything so how can you claim the setting is stagnant??

The War will never end GR, if someone did win the amount of rage from other people who collect other armies worth hundreds of hours and money in preparing them would all kill themselves. I know people who would probably do this :)

I said the main storyline is stagnant. Not the entire thing.

The war can't end, I can say this is true for the Eldar. They can't field any of their planet killers because they are so far away. If they were beaten back no one would make the jump to conquer them because they literally have a gigantic space armada of epicness. So they can just sit there and train units and send them through the warp forever.

1. And you're free to it, but I like to debate and sometimes my opinion is the unpopular one and it looks like i'm doing it for kicks when 90% of the time i'm not.

2. And imo the fans saying the universe is ok the way it is and never needs to be changed is also sounding like that.

It could still shift focus though, alliances formed betwen man and alien, a divison in the imperium(albeit just a splinter breaking off to fit the storyline well), etc.

This just displays your total lack of understanding of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. You seem to think the characters in the story are the Emperor and the Eldar and the Chaos Gods. The characters are the small people the ones fighting the endless wars across the universe. Ibram Gaunt, Eisenhorn, Gabriel Angelos these are the characters in the story not some corpse on a Golden Throne who is little more than a plot Maguffin. You have fallen into the trap many people do when the first come across WH40K thinking it's like Star Trek or Star Wars with one giant story with larger than life heroes. It's not. Read and understand or continue in your ignorance confident in your opinion it's up to you.

I again see no problem with the stories but the main storyline above them all. With some changes many new substories would be come possible. And it could even just be on offshoot and the main old universe could continue for older fans.

Yet I can't have my opinion I guess because I don't have all the codexes and read all the wikia entries and play all the time, I guess.

There is a difference between an informed opinion and an uninformed one. Mine is an informed opinion you have the chance to be informed but you refuse.

The Emperor is no more a character than Jesus is and I doubt he will return either.

I am informed enough. In fiction one doesn't need to know everything to form a subjective opinion on it.

Also regardless of if he's just a figurehead/plot device the main storyline hinges partially around him...If he was reborn alot could and would change.

Really...you make it sound like i'm stating facts and getting them wrong and not just making a few suggestions and offering opinions.
