GameRager: I'm not much into Warhammer beyond Fire Warrior and the Dawn of War game, but from what i've seen more FPS titles in the series of even third person would be nice, especially from the alien's perspectives.

Popinjay: Yeah there are heaps of races within the Warhammer universe other than the bloody orks and space marines. Would be nice if they could cover those a bit better.
The tau seem pretty smart and peaceful, over the orcs that is. You could call them the elves in a way even, in keeping with the fantasy race nomenclature & in how they are built to look.

Also i'd like to see a splinter group of humans cast off the bloody xenophobia for once and NOT get cleansed en masse by the rest of man for once....m,aybe some really tough holdout faction.

GameRager: Recommendations Captain?

Popinjay: Avatar of Kaine! Speaking of which, why on earth would you make a game about space marines when you could make one about Eldar and you could just run around as Kaine kicking arse? That would be way cooler.
Eldar are boring. Bring on the Orks!

Also I GET the emperor is needed to protect mankind from some sort of demon realm and all, but why can't they just find a similarly powerful psilon(etc) and train them to replace the bloody guy instead of keeping him alive for eons and sacrificing all those people to him?

Snickersnack: Burn the heretic!

GameRager: Napalm, the only way to be sure. ;)
Napalm sticks to kids.

Because A: He is the God-Emperor of mankind. I don't think many would like to and B: There is no one as powerful as he is/was/something.

Also: It's psyker.
nvm

1: I don't thionk out of trillions opf people no one can step up to the challenge. Heck why not just clone him and off the original and put his brian in a new body?
2: I'm surprised no one in the higher ups take his job and off the poor sod.
3: Even with the GOD-emperor the chaos realm still seeps into reality anyways so he's not at full efficiency anymore and he'll probably lose eventually.
4. Lol psyker, cylon.....what's the difference?
He powers the Astronomican. I believe that some necron tech contains the Eye of Terror. Though I suppose there's also the failed attempt at a human webway for him to contain.

Which part of him being considered a god by the Imperium is hard to understand?

The difference is that I am a warhammer fan. It matters to me. I don't expect you to care, but I have to correct it.

The Emperor

No, no one can simply replace him. He effectively is a god.

I don't buy that, and as I said eventually they'll have to anyways. His mind will eventually rot away, even if surrounded by tech.

Also again, i'm sure some other psyker is talented enough to do the job or AGAIN...they can clone him and put his brain in the body. They have the tech.

Read it again. He is a god. You don't simply clone a god and while there are theories he can be reborn no one especially the Inquisition is willing to take that risk. No Emperor = Death of humanity.
Not to mention only he can assure working state of Astronomican...
The psyker that was probably closest to him in power, didn't really last very long on the Golden Throne.

That ttech has already sustained him for a long time so far. Plus what Delixe said.

Again, who's to say the higher ups haven't been leading the way they want to for years?

They could simply transfer hie will into the new body via the same tech keeping his old one alive while keeping his will alive and running the beacon/etc.

Also there is no proof with no emperor humanity would die out...maybe be reduced a bit, but they do that already via keeping him alive and fighting aliens.
