That's like saying:
"As we know - gravity is a phenomenon at the core of Newtonian physics, which is the most commonly accepted form of physics."
They both share a common trait: they are the highest level of understanding available to most people whose education in a particular field ended on high-school. They are also both outdated though decently accurate.
On a more personal level - I'm highly suspicious of anyone pretentiously flaunting ‼SCIENCE‼ while dropping XIXth century-ish names. I treat them with the same level of caution I do people who claim to be religious yet imagine devils as pitchfork-wielding, tar-stirring creatures (as opposed to angels who don halos and flap wings).
