koima57: Why do you post that as a news here, in a gaming forum..? The Pope is doing what he must, edifying and warning people according to the Scriptures lessons and guidelines. What surprise is it that people killing and stealing won't make it eternally? Isn't it due Justice and a relief for victims?
But in the other thread the christians told me that everyone will be forgiven if they repent in the end.So those christian mobsters will be in your heaven, too, enjoy!

scampywiak: I've always thought the Pope has the easiest job in the world, at least in modern times. Make the most banal and obvious judgments like 'killing is bad' and you're a fuckin' genius on moral authority, I mean, WHO WOULDN'T HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT?

I want to play pope for a month. Just for the hell of it.
On the downside, it has a rather high turnover rate. Something, something, money, power, ambition, etc. Quite a few didn't even make it a month. John Paul the First in 1978 only made it 33 days. I think there's about a dozen of them with similar stories. You'd think God's chosen vicar on Earth would have better protection against poisons, stabby weapons, and pillows. Note; no disrespect to the religion nor to its practitioners, simply commentary on observations of the Papal mortality rate.

Pope's message grows more lenient with every day. Before we know it, women will wear the papal gown and gays won't burn in hell. But, of course, we need his excellency and his army of morally bankrupt drones to acknowledge this phenomena known as...human decency. It's a stretch, I know. With the help of zillions of Catholics and ol' white cap himself, I believe we can get there.

Well, if you really want the correct answer, please don't believe blindly what you get told, check your information with the source to see for yourself about its legitimacy. Here, "if they repent in the end" will be too late since the end is Death, and we don't know when we die, so the time to repent is NOW, while we can as we are living..

I'm confident God is the Just Judge to weight who is worthy of Eternal Life and who is not, that people threatening others won't make it forever. Should they repent and strive for change during their lifetime they will be new persons and sure, most welcome in "my" heaven. Not before, not as "mobsters", not with a simple "I'm sorry" while nurturing and displaying ill will toward others through extortion, thefts and murders.

Anyway, absolute respect to our Pope for his "easy way" standing against all odds (and sniper bullets..) in the cradle of Mafia, and my last contribution to just another flame bait thread, as I knew it was one of these.

This headline sounds like a song by an 80s heavy metal band. This week on Headbangers Ball, check out the video for (Lays) Down The Law by Pope!

No, an 80's band would be Strawberry Rain Parade. Or Metal Galactica.

Depends on which genre you're looking at, Strawberry Rain Parade (if you just came up with the name) does remind me of a unsigned bubblegum glam metal band or song. I'll come back later when/if I remember it.

Yeah, I came up with it just now. I want to see it used now that you mention it. Japan? Anyone?

Too late. Your post has become the most important one of this topic. There's no turning back now! :O

jjsimp: 'He said: "This life that you live now won't give you pleasure."'

That is hilarious. What's next on the agenda: those that hoard wealth will not have pleasure in this life or those that have sex out of wedlock will not have pleasure in this life or homosexuals will not have pleasure in this life and you will all burn in hell. Anything to sweep that little Priest Pedophile thing under the rug.
I think he meant pleasure for all eternity.

If you don't sue me or claim ownership of the name, and if nobody else owns it, I think I'll be using that name.

oh btw...this being, you call it god,it just told me it created this thread as a test of your faith, so you shouldn't ignore it. I told it that it is just full of...you know...it. But since it is kind of important to you, I thought I'd let you know about it.

jamotide: But you just told me the same thing, if they repent before death, they'll join you in your heaven.
Sure, because it is our Faith. What you do not seem to understand is that you can't fool God and "fake" repentance, and when you really repent, litteraly turn back to God, you are able, actually granted by Grace to become a new person, not anymore living by your own set of rules and for your belly, but for God and trying all you can to please God by following His Word. Little by little, to each their own pace but if it succeed, no more murder, thefts, bullying, etc..

With true repentance here, the person will get back to the victims they made to find their forgiveness, helping them all they can to repair the wrong they caused, cutting any contact they have with their "mob", find a honest, legitimate work.

But I get your post is aimed at mocking me because "mobsters" can be approved by God as well, which I don't mind, it's their past and I trust they will change for the better should they repent, they have just about the same chance to be saved as I do, fairly enough.

Such is the Grace of God, any atrocity one has done can be forgiven, even murder, rape and such awful crimes, the real name of sins by God's Laws.. That is terribly difficult to accept, especially if you are a victim of another human being that significantly wronged you, and that's the real "Trial of Faith" ... I do face it currently though I'm a "lucky" one, but that's too personal, and the Faith I, we have as Christians.

The only unforgivable sin is to actually reject the only possibility to be saved that exist, that is accusing God of wanting our damnation anyway in and as a permanent disbelief, taking the blood of Christ for piss..
