PixelBoy: The fix is very simple.
Only those people who have game X on their shelf can write reviews about game X.
Well that simple fix would prevent previews from people that don't own that game (
be it here on GOG.com, or at all), but -
as you have recognized already- it wouldn't necessarily prevent people from posting "untrue" previews.
PixelBoy: But still, that fix would take care of 90% of the "unwanted noise"
in the comments. And get almost totally rid of the useless "I used to play this on my Amiga" commenting, which really give no information about the version being sold here.
Not sure, if typo or not - but this sounds as if you also don't want people to
comment on games, they don't own yet - which would be quite counterproductive, don't you think?
I mean, if I (you) don't own a game here, I (you) would not be able to ask anything about the game, to make a decision regarding a purchase or not.
RedRagan: Can be proven by people who actually playing the game. They can always question things they said or downvote their reviews.
Well, that is possible already.
RedRagan: Reminds me when Fox News invite a psychiatric to talk about Mass Effect and how it's a "Sex simulator" and over exaggerate the sex scenes in the game. A lot of people immediately point out the discrepencies in those statements.
Fox News? Aren't that those guys, that broadcastetd ARMA2 video-footage as evidence of warcrimes, or such?
I think, one shouldn't give a toss, what those guys say, really.
Edit: typo
