There will be French versions in the future?
There's an /en/ in URLs, so I guess it's just like with Linux support: "English for now, and then we'll see".
It's just like coryza wrote. We're doing the English version for now, but it doesn't mean we won't do other language versions. We'll see what the future will bring :)
Remember, they're only in beta. Any services they don't offer, and the ones that they do offer that don't work have a right to be that way.
Just leave them feedback, and I'm sure they'll do something.
Although some games have their languages hard coded into them.
and when they wanna translate the website i am ready to make the website danish :)
Most important question for that topic:
If I buy a game now when only the english version is available, will there be any chance to download the german version of a game as soon as its available?
Oh, I just got an idea:
Would it be possible to add links directly to games with fan-made translation of them? Lots of old games were translated unofficialy (but with permission of authors in most cases, of course) into czech language. And I think other languages without official support have something similar, too. For example, there is very nice translation of both Fallouts into czech language, with translated texts, textures, etc - and it works well on gog version, too.

Good idea, but its probably not good to overload the game pages with to many informations and other stuff, maybe a seperate page or popup to several mods etc.?

The forum would be the best place I believe. The devs have already posted stickies for many games listing mods that are known to work, so this would be a great place to also add known language packs that work with the GOG games.

I thought about forum too, but I think only a small number of GoG users will also be visiting forums, not to mentions need to search trough numerous pages without some assurance you will find anything. It would be nice to, at least, write somewhere to game's page list of all translations available at forums, preferrably to some kind of .. how is that thing called ... roll-out menu? Hm ... with link to game's discussion (...which should be there anyhow)
As Cook say, there is no plans for other language versions. The biggest problem is not language of the site, but the fact that together with, for example, german site should come german versions of games. Which is very difficult, sometimes rights for translations, voices of certain versions are not in publisher's hands, and this makes buying rights for this games extremly difficult.
Which doesn't mean that some day...:-)
And some day we may also add feaature for linking external mods, language packs etc.
We already were disscussing it.

Would like to know too.
I won't be buying games in english, if I know there's a spanish version.
And if the beta of the site is going to be english only, there's little help I can provide...

Well afaik Interplay published most games in Europe, so they should have the rights for the translations. Easiest way would be to ask them directly and if they have the worldwide rights it shouldn't be such a big problem. If the rights are not in Interplays hand I agree that it will be almost impossble to offer different versions. But there would be still ways to offer them for example paying the right owner 10 cents for every sold german copy (could be checked with IP adresses) or something like that.
But still the question about the further possibility to download german versions of games if they ever release is not answered. I'd buy Fallout right now if I know that I'm able to download the german version as soon as its released (badluck for me if its never release :)).

Right now i am AGAINST especially a German Version of GOG. Why? simple, here i was able to purchase the original Uncut versions of the Fallout Games, with all dead Animations intact, not the toned down german Version, and that for only 6 bucks, i dont need another GOG ; )

This might cause some serious legal problems in Germany, but I wrote gog an email about it. And if they start to verify the age, we could talk about uncut german versions of Fallout :).
