It suddenly appeals to me a lot. Too bad it's not in Canada yet - what the hell OnLive, Luxembourg gets the service before us? If I wasn't running on a mid end laptop nearing the end of its life (to think I got it this February) I wouldn't be that interested.

It does work in canada though experiences may vary depending on your location. I played Alien Vs Predator yesterday without any issue.

How'd you get it working? I'm in Vancouver so I shouldn't have major issues.

hedwards: Yes, they can generate it, the problem though isn't generating it, the problem is that in much of America the net connections suck. At it's best the detail is pretty similar to what I'm getting with my 9400 GT.

kalirion: Um, detail has nothing to do with "net connection." A 720p video of Crysis on Low and a 720p video of Crysis on Very High with 32xAA will have the same amount of bandwidth.
Not true. That depends heavily upon the compression applied to the image. And onLive adjusts that as you play to try and give the highest possible quality.

Trust me on it, sometimes the quality is superb and other times it's not even playable. Fortunately that's not often the case and it usually adjusts soon after. If what you were saying is correct that wouldn't be the case.

EDIT: On further thought I see what you mean. What I meant was that you can't make out the details. They may or may not be there, but I can't see them. And seeing them is really the point of the person's question.

No tricks. Just made an account, downloaded and installed the software, signed in to the client and it worked. I live in montreal, Quebec.

I tried redeeming it, but OnLive claims the code is invalid.
It must be expired then, sorry.
Do people still use OnLive?

I thought its big day had long passed...
Monthly fee for ability to play huge variety of games anytime? Sounds great to me.

Really? This is like the Ultimate DRM :)

Who gives a damn? New games aren't worth the money anyway, I won't replay them anyway.

It's like with music. I really enjoy last.fm , so I don't need to BUY any albums.

Play, finish, forget about it. For 10 bucks a month? Great deal to me.

I have absolutely no problem with Steam or Origin. And even I won't touch On Live with a stick.
Here's the interesting thing: they added The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut to the Playback bundle...
Oh, and with OnLive you just need to worry about your internet speed. Nothing more, not need to upgrade your PC every 6 months. Another great advantage to me. (if the video is 1080p and gameplay is lagless, ofcourse)
