Daedalus1138: How about STALKER: Clear Sky?
It has TAGES DRM just to note in case you decide to buy it.

A.I Wars is extremely cheap at £2.99 for the game and all DLCs, it's usually £19.99 so you are saving a huge amount of money on this game.

Also Beat Hazard at £2.19 with itunes support and the Ultra expansion is a really good deal aswell, not to mention if you have 3 tickets to spare you can pick up the Gold Ship.

King Arthur is crazy-cheap. So if a cross between total war and an RPG sounds interesting then it's not one to pass up.

Daedalus1138: How about STALKER: Clear Sky? I have Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat, so would it be worth it to get Clear Sky? I've heard that it can be really frustrating, and just isn't quite as good as the other two. Is this true? Would it be better to just pass it up?
Clear Sky, when played with the Complete mod is a worthwhile enough edition to the series. True enough it's without a doubt the weakest. Unlike Pripyat which was all new locations there's a lot of retreading old ground in Clear Sky. But it's more time in the zone, and that's hard to pass up.

Okay, but I have no idea what exactly that means. I mean, I know it's DRM, but how exactly does TAGES work? What does it do? I looked it up but the website itself isn't much help.

Fantasysci5: Eh, I'm horrible at making decisions, but I think I'll pass. I'm not always around internet, and I like playing by myself-without even an AI teammate. I'm still looking for GTA IV to go on sale, and Uplink or Hacker, so I'll pass on this one.
That's the beauty of Guild Wars - player interaction only when you want it :) The whole game is perfectly playable and very fun even solo. Actually, I would say, that since you can now create the whole party of 8 yourself and have your own NPC heroes fill all the roles, it's even easier, comparing to unpredictable human players.
I'm usually playing singleplayer games, so this is definitely my favourite multiplayer game :)

edit: oh, just noticed you prefer solo, without even the AI. You need a party to survive in Guild Wars, so I'm not sure if you would enjoy it that much in the end

Well it's notorious for being bad, however upon further reading it appears to have been removed from the game and steam just haven't updated their store page.

Guild Wars will easily last a new player dozens of hours, and yes, you pretty much have to have AI teammates. Granted, there are player builds that will allow you to legitimately solo certain portions of the game, but you are pretty much required to have a party (AI or other players) to complete the game in its entirety.

One thing that might be off-putting for some of the newer players is the extensive amount of time and effort that it takes to complete the titles and achievements for the Hall of Monuments, which has rewards and benefits in Guild Wars 2. Prepared to spend like hundreds of hours (yes, really) to complete some of the titles. For instance, its taken me 1,000 hours to get 19 titles, and the rewards for GW2 max out at 30 titles.

Thanks for the info. I might pass it up then. I don't have much problem if it's a lot of the same stuff, but I'm trying to keep my spending to a minimum at the moment.

Oh, and thanks, Druidshinobi. (I would quote you, too, but I have yet to figure out how to quote more than one person.)

Might be for the best. If you're saving money then another playthrough of Pripyat is in order.

There are a couple of ways you could do this. The least technical is to write out one reply as you would normally. Then select it all and cut it without posting it. Then writing out your second reply and then pasting the other reply into that one either right at the very beginning or right at the end.

Hey, anyone from the States available for some gifting? :)

I need:
-Deus Ex GOTY
-Deus Ex: Invisible War
-S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat
-Oddworld Pack
-The Tiny Bang Story
-Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time

Total is just under 13.90$ if my math is any good and steamprices.com shows me the correct prices for US.

I'd pay upfront using Paypal. Username on Steam is the same as here. Feel free to add me :). It's kinda late here so I'm going to sleep soon. If nobody replies till then, leave a message here and send your details over PM and I'll transfer funds in the morning.

That makes sense, now that you said that. Thanks. ;)
So is Beat Hazard any good? Is it similar to Audiosurf? Do I have to use itunes or can I use my own music?
low rated
It should be renamed to Steam rent 2011 thread ^^.

It has nothing to do with Audiosurf.
Basicly this is the old Asteroids game with beautiful effects and opponents. The gameplay always depend on the music and you can use any music you want (mp3). Well, the last thing is the only common between Audiosurf and Beat Hazard.
If you like arcade shooters, you will enjoy it.

Try the demo, it's 30 Mb large and allows you to play 10 tracks from your PC.

Oh please. Do we need to get through this on EVERY f**king thread about Steam?
You don't like it? Don't use it. And no, I don't want to know the reason - it has been discussed twice as much or more as a usual dead horse beating goes.
Frankly put, it started to sound whiny at least 5 years ago.
