i may be in danger of losing scholarships due to the incredibly vague and subjective grading techniques of art classes, but i don't give a fuck now because it's summer
i plan on going down to a beach and windsurfing, camping, getting stupid drunk, and getting laid most nights of the summer. also i plan on winning the lottery.
oh and starting the gog user podcast.
anyone else have good summer plans?

Woohoooo! :) Congrats! :) Wishing you the best of time with her. :)
On a personal note, I hope my girl will be fine after the little "surgery" she had on her teeth. :)

Wow! Excellent news! You're really a nice guy and deserve it!
Nothing on the level of engagement or such, but I've had a few positive things happen lately.
- I discovered Silent Hunter III. I had previously been playing Silent Hunter IV, and while it was great, the American campaigns always developed game-halting crashes that could not be avoided. It's an extreme annoyance to have a campaign that you've been working on for a week, go down the toilet. Oddly enough, the German campaigns of the add-on worked fine. (Likely due to updates.)
...but Silent Hunter III is like a breath of fresh air! Sure the graphics aren't as good, even with mods, but the atmosphere is incredible by comparison. Radio traffic, and so many other things just add to the great feeling like you're part of history. The Grey Wolves mod is fabulous. I haven't had this much fun in months.
So yes, bugs may have ruined one game for me, but I discovered a fine replacement to the game. (Which I already owned, but hadn't gotten around to playing much yet.)
- Also, I replaced my stock heat sink and fan with a liquid cooling/radiator solution, and no longer come close to over-heating in this hot attic. (The temperature often barely changes at all when running games.)
- I learned that my old CRT TV, which sits off to the side of my HDTV, can still pick up the local station. I've been without TV for ages, so it's a pleasant treat! Plus it lets me keep up on the local news.

No way to break the binding spell that holds you there?? . . . =)

Not without having to pay $300-$400 more for rent. Besides, the people I rent from are awesome, as are their kids. They even take me to their cottage every year. :)
I'd have to have had confusion cast on me, before I'd use a dispel magic or Disjunction True. (Depending on which gaming universe you're in.) The three months of heat are well worth it, now that my computer is safe. ;)

lol
Today is a better day. I hope my girl feels better, so that we could finally go out (after 4 nights of L4D sessions and other gaming stuff).

Just remember; A man is not complete without a woman and after he's married, he's finished! :o)
Congratulations and I trust you be married have a lifetime together.
After more than a year of working, I'm going to work tomorrow too! Wooooo!
I had a job interview a couple of days ago, and should hear back tomorrow! Here's hoping for a second, and better, job.
Well I submitted my application for a certain job, I think I have a slightly higher chance than with most of the jobs I apply for so I've officially upgraded the estimate of my chances to "Almost hopeless"...

I keep telling you man, we can never be more than just good friends. Don't get me wrong, I'm flattered and all but it just can't happen...
AMD is replacing my busted CPU! :) I thought they wouldn't. So this week I can finally get to finishing my new rig. Super excited as it's kind of my first and I've chosen really solid components for my needs that will last me many years.
