N0x0ss: Long-time nintendo fans & the newly aquired audience of the wii & Ds.
So basically just a small part of the hardcore gamers.
Luisfius: When you consider that self-identified hardcore gamers are a shrinking demographic, NIntendo trying to expand the userbase instead of courting just one segment was a very, very smart move.
It does not help that the self-identified hardcore gamer demographic is extremely vocal and whiny if not catered to them.
Expanding is fine, Ninetendo of America went out of their way to alienate hardcore gamers last gen and even issued press releases telling them, in effect, the Wii in North America wasn't for them.
That's alienating the very people who tend to proselytize your systems to non-hardcore gamers. It's stupid, business-wise and insulting to longtime fans.
Whitecroc: "Terrible" is quite the exaggeration. The game's getting great scores, just not as great as it did a year ago.
StingingVelvet: Watch the giantbomb quicklook, the game looks and runs fucking terribly.
In addition, almost every adjustment for the WiiU made the game worse, not better. How you take a 10/10 game and make it worse is beyond me...
