Crazy stuff. The fact is, Christianity if followed to the letter, is a violent religion with more than it's fair share of nut jobs. A game that pokes fun at that aspect of the religion is doing nothing wrong.

orcishgamer: I'm not even buying that. There's plenty of e-shops that sell adult only material and do so via credit card verification and other means. I haven't taken a look at Nintendo's 3DS e-Shop, it's probably anemic right now, you can bet there will be (if there isn't already) a variety of violent titles to choose from.
The DS e-shop can be "parental locked" and therefore very secure for kids. Several functions of the 3ds can be individually made "child prove". I think you can even set the console to refuse playing game above a certain rating. I never really bothered, but the mandatory clickfest after starting my 3ds for the first time had me go through the locks at least once.
Well, this sucks. How about Super Meat Boy on 3DS, then?

I check it every now and then. There's only two M-rated contents that I've seen through the e-shop, that being Resident Evil Revelations and MGS Snake Eater. So, it's not like they refuse to show mature games.

PETA did a big protest over that, which included commissioning a game called "Super Tofu Boy" with the tagline "Save Bandage Girl from Meat Boy's bloody, jealous rage!".

Seriously. >.<
Nintendo was always a pain in the ass for 3RD party developers

This just shows that they are still stuck in those "S/NES Censorship Days"

Haha, I remember that. I doubt Nintendo cares what PETA thinks, though.

The "Cooking Mama" series shows that they don't give jack shit about what PETA thinks (and rightfully so)
I am a PC gamer because no one controls it (though Valve tries).

The irony of your statement is that BoI is exclusively sold on Steam, yet is unrated by the ESRB. (Humble aside, of course)

But no, I get what you mean, and I definitely agree.

Yep. http://bindingofisaac.wikia.com/wiki/Vis

It's definitely a great game if you liked Smash TV or you're a roguelike fan.

Barefoot_Monkey: I'm not surprised. Of all the games ever made, The Binding of Isaac is easily the second-most unlikely to be accepted by Nintendo. Submitting it to them is something between a publicity stunt and a shot in the dark. It would play well on a DS though, if they improve the performance.
And the first is? That Japanese game where you rape people?

Have it on Steam, will install it soon (tm).

IMO, Conker's Bad Fur Day. Just goes to show that anything can happen.

For a while there Steam was being anal about ESRB stuff but I think they got over it eventually. Postal 3 is on there...
