Crazy stuff. The fact is, Christianity if followed to the letter, is a violent religion with more than it's fair share of nut jobs. A game that pokes fun at that aspect of the religion is doing nothing wrong.

I haven't taken a look at Nintendo's 3DS e-Shop, it's probably anemic right now, you can bet there will be (if there isn't already) a variety of violent titles to choose from.
The DS e-shop can be "parental locked" and therefore very secure for kids. Several functions of the 3ds can be individually made "child prove". I think you can even set the console to refuse playing game above a certain rating. I never really bothered, but the mandatory clickfest after starting my 3ds for the first time had me go through the locks at least once.

I check it every now and then. There's only two M-rated contents that I've seen through the e-shop, that being Resident Evil Revelations and MGS Snake Eater. So, it's not like they refuse to show mature games.

The irony of your statement is that BoI is exclusively sold on Steam, yet is unrated by the ESRB. (Humble aside, of course)

Barefoot_Monkey: I'm not surprised. Of all the games ever made, The Binding of Isaac is easily the second-most unlikely to be accepted by Nintendo. Submitting it to them is something between a publicity stunt and a shot in the dark. It would play well on a DS though, if they improve the performance.

For a while there Steam was being anal about ESRB stuff but I think they got over it eventually. Postal 3 is on there...
