Combining a great story, impressive cinematics, detailed graphics and an interesting, believable mystery, Still Life is a great example of how the adventure game genre still has a lot to offer, even in the age of shooters and slashers.

Still Life is a point-and-click adventure game centered around a mysterious serial murder case. Expect some actual investigative work, not pixel-hunting and combining a toothbrush, tweezers and a sponge in order to open a tuna can. You'll be looking for evidence, using fancy equipment such as dark-light filters, collecting samples, piecing clues together with your colleagues... Then you'll relive an investigation into a seemingly identical case, which took place 80 years ago. If you like adventure games, you can't go wrong with this one. But if you enjoy a good mystery as well, you're bound to fall in love with Still Life.
Great adventure and absolutely worth to be on GOG. This game was for a very long time on my imaginary whishlist and unfortunately I bought it a few weeks ago with its predecessor Post Mortem from another drm-free service. So let me guess, on of the next releases could be Post Mortem ;-)
Great! I mostly play adventures and gog is turning out to be everything I could ever hope for:) Keep it up guys and you are going to get all the money I can throw at you! <3 gog
ooh sounds like a good one, shall have to grab this one of these days
So how does this hold up compared to the Syberia games? I've just completed those so I'm pretty keen on finding an adventure of similar quality and style.
Finally, have been waiting for this release 8).
Thanks for bringing a game I already have in a week where I don't really have the money :D

From the gameplay they are very close. So if you like Syberia, you really should give Still Life a closer look. Personally I prefer Still Life, because it's more story driven and the atmosphere is closer. Just a little note, some puzzles (especially the cookie baking) could be a little bit annoying.

Good!
I enjoyed this game quite a lot few years ago. Pretty atmospheric piece it is. Pity, that they've ruined the ending so badly :(

You bake cookies in this game? Ha! Okay, so that's this game's inflatable duck then? I'll have to watch out for that...
Nice to see more games, but does not look like a game that appeals to me personally.
Yeah, I found cookies quite brain-squeezing :)
Navagon, I believe this game is exactly what you're looking for. Coincidentally, I also played Still Life right away after I finished Syberia :)

Yeah, cookies from your grandma for your daddy, because you're a good daughter ;-) This puzzle is honestly a little bit weird.

Ah, very well. I love adventure games, but hated the two Syberias; I'll rather skip this.

Just a bit. :D In spite of that oddity I'll add this one to the wish list.
