Another game from the practically extinct point-and-click adventure genre, Journey to the Center of the Earth is an interesting title, based on the novel by Jules Verne

The puzzles aren't too difficult, the voice acting is professional and the scenery only gets more intriguing as you explore the "land beneath". The game's best quality is its storyline, though. It puts you in the shoes of Ariane, a young reporter working for a travel magazine. Just after your chopper lands somewhere in Iceland's volcano region, a sudden rockslide destroys it, leaving you stranded. With the pilot gone, your only choice is to look for a way out yourself. Soon you find a passage leading to a mysterious land hidden beneath the Earth's crust...
