Another game from the practically extinct point-and-click adventure genre, Journey to the Center of the Earth is an interesting title, based on the novel by Jules Verne
Journey to the Center of the Earth is one of those point-and-click adventure game with prerendered backgrounds and 3D characters. The puzzles aren't too difficult, the voice acting is professional and the scenery only gets more intriguing as you explore the "land beneath". The game's best quality is its storyline, though. It puts you in the shoes of Ariane, a young reporter working for a travel magazine. Just after your chopper lands somewhere in Iceland's volcano region, a sudden rockslide destroys it, leaving you stranded. With the pilot gone, your only choice is to look for a way out yourself. Soon you find a passage leading to a mysterious land hidden beneath the Earth's crust...
Fantasy Wars is getting all the attention this morning. Any thoughts on this one? Frogwares subsequent releases have been fairly solid.
It's mediocre and overpriced.

overpriced// tell frogwares
brr... played it one or two years ago but never had the motivation to finish it, it's pretty horrible.
"return to mysterious island" is way better, when it comes to verne-based adventures...
