THE GIVEAWAY IS OVER. YOU CAN STILL TAKE A LOOK AT MY BOOK. IT DOESN'T BITE. USUALLY.

After almost seven years of composition, exasperation and procrastination, I have finally published my first novel.

To celebrate and promote it in the only online community I belong to, I thought I'd do a small giveaway.

I'll be giving out 3 games to 3 randomly-chosen people:
1) one $10 GOG game of your choice
2) one $10 GOG game of your choice
3) one $6 GOG game of your choice

You don't have to do anything to participate in the givewaway beyond posting here. There's no rep or join-date limit. The giveaway will end sometime on Saturday, 18 January.

If you think you might be interested in reading a work of literary fiction with a distinct folktale undertone, please visit the book's page on Amazon, where you may find a not-necessarily-scrutable book description, as well as read a sizeable sample. If you don't, don't (unless you want to look at what I believe is a really cool cover image).

Thanks.

P.S. Although the novel is currently available only as a Kindle ebook, let this not deter you, for that can be read nowadays on practically any computer, tablet or smartphone out there (as explained here). O, and on Kindles too.

P.P.S. The book is also available on other Amazon websites (uk, ca, au, fr, de, es, it, in, jp, br, mx), should you find these more convenient.

Count me in, thank you and +1 :)
Although it probably was hell on earth sometimes, I slightly envy you for publishing your own book ;-) Well done, congrats! Also the print length of 318 pages is pretty amazing. Speaking of print, do you plan to release a paper edition? I'm still a little old-school when it comes to reading.

Also great giveaway, thanks for your generosity and please count me in.

Congrats.

I'm out, but if you self published, you should check out Smashwords to get further distribution. Amazon tends to be rather dickish in its insistence of only supporting their own apps.
This makes me remember that part when you get to the "Vault" in Fallout and the librarian tells you about the paper books. :P

1. Congratulations. 2. I went to the amazon page with your book and I must say, the book looks very interesting, very well written and seems to be a page turner. If I had money to spare on such things, it would be in my amazon.com cart right now. 3. I'm in. :)

Hey congratz man now maybe I can finish mine someday. Will make sure to check it out it looks interesting.

Also +1 for the giveaway I am in
Congratulations!

Wow... 7 years. I don't think I have ever taken on a project that long.
It is certainly interesting, and I share your opinion on the cover image. I didn't read the whole excerpt, but the book's description immediately caught my attention. When I have the time I'll certainly read the remainder. But congratulations on the accomplishment, and thanks for the giveaway.

I'm still thinking about a paper edition. We'll see how it goes with the electonic one first.
For years I resisted getting a Kindle, but now that I have one, I must say that it's most convenient, especially when travelling.

Concerning your writing. My advice is persevere, persevere, persevere. It's worth it at the end.
It also helps a lot if you find a writers' group near you, the kind where the members review each other's work. Ours met once a week and I got quite useful feedback, despite being skeptic at first.
I was extremely lucky (i.e. spoiled) in my endeavour. My wife was most enthusiastic and we agreed that I would not work while writing the bulk of the book. She supported us for three whole years in which I didn't work, but rather wrote full-time.
Congratulations! I've never had any literary talent myself so I appreciate those who can write.

Count me in and thanks.

Oh well, congrats anyway.
