You might do well to post other things on this forum as well instead of just using it to advertise your YouTube channel. Seriously dude, all I've seen from you are threads advertising your channel. It's not polite.

It is also a new account. Maybe the old one was blocked due to violations of the ToS? Promoting commercial stuff, advertising.

Yeah, I noticed that. I think he previously posted here under the name "NukemDukem", then "NukemDukems", if memory serves.

Would GOG do that? I never knew about any forum policies like that. Besides, is a youtube account commercial?

It's quite basic forum policy. It's pretty much the same as some Chinese spambot trying to sell you Nike sneakers.

He comes in here, puts up advertisement for his channel and leaves. I always mark it as spam.

And considering the amount of douchebags doing "LPs" or what ever the kids call it these days, I expect this to be commercially viable.

I'm not too clued up on youtube channels. But i have seen many helpful lets play/walkthrough vids. Also, stuff like the WTF Total Biscuit videos. He's a GOG member as far as i know.

I do agree that if the OP doesn't say anything about his vids in the thread, or contribute elsewhere in the forum, then it's a bit of a waste of time. But surely, if it's not regular, it's not a problem?

A spammer will constantly make these threads, and alot of the time, it will be in ridiculous places (such as game reviews and game specific forums).

Usually any commercial postings are regarded as spam. How strictly enforced is going to depend upon the particular forum. Often times they'll let you post commercial links that are of interest to the community. But not generally ones for which one directly profits.

In many cases, it is. YouTube provides the option to make money off videos by hosting ads. I have AdBlock Plus and I know the ads displayed are regional, so I can't see anything there, but it's possible that the OP is making money off visits to his videos.

Well I'm the first to post on-topic

This game is meh, its looks like Battlefield 3 Close Quarters 2 why buy this when battlefield 3 already have close quarters maps and getting new epansions after this game comes out?

And competition like Counter Strike GO, Ghost Recon Future Soldier/Online, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is not going to help it that much.

I want to say I give out free video games to my viewers or a chance to win them
I don't really see any reason to downrate this. Then again, the OP should at least pretend he's interested in the forum per se....

I've never seen any confirmation of someone winning your giveaways, though. You said they're "privately announced".

Is it possible you tell people there's a giveaway to get them to watch your videos?

...

Yup, that's what I thought!
