StingingVelvet: So if it is Lucasarts, which seems obvious at this point, the question is which game will come out Thursday? I would assume they would want to start off with Star Wars, it being the strongest IP, so I am going to guess Jedi Knight.
Still though, Jedi Knight has been on Steam for years so it might not be the blockbuster attention-getter then want. The X-Wing series of flight games might be better for marketing, or a big name non-Star Wars game like Grim Fandango. Sam & Max would be good, it's not on Steam and Telltale have made it very popular again, but I wonder if there are rights issues in play there.
In any event I hope they don't just re-release the same games Steam has. Outlaws obviously is a new one, which is great, but KOTOR is on Steam and has been on sale for as low as $2, so that's not going to be a big draw.
If Gog wants to make an impact, they'll come loaded with Outlaws, Rebellion & Grim Fandango. Games that really haven't been offered anywhere.
