I'm not seeing it either. You do look at your past in that game though, I guess.

It makes sense from the sentence, but usually there is word-play in these things and I see no word-play for KOTOR there.

The most obvious is FEAR of course. I wonder if we are getting a multi-publisher announcement.
What game made you fEAr your past ?

PM me with a price if you want to sell it directly.
You can all thank me for this. I just got a copy of Full Throttle on CDROM a couple days ago, and hadn't even time to do anything beyond install it under SCUMM.

Clearly this is just an attempt by Mr. Gog to test the limits of my addiction to this addictive site.
Consider Maniac mansion, day of the tentacle, zak mckraken, fate of atlantis, full throttle, knights of the old republic, jedi knight sold on day one with the others to follow shortly after. I would buy those in a heartbeat.

Although I refuse to get my hopes up until I actually see gog make a official announcement and the games on the site for sale.
So if it is Lucasarts, which seems obvious at this point, the question is which game will come out Thursday? I would assume they would want to start off with Star Wars, it being the strongest IP, so I am going to guess Jedi Knight.

Still though, Jedi Knight has been on Steam for years so it might not be the blockbuster attention-getter then want. The X-Wing series of flight games might be better for marketing, or a big name non-Star Wars game like Grim Fandango. Sam & Max would be good, it's not on Steam and Telltale have made it very popular again, but I wonder if there are rights issues in play there.

In any event I hope they don't just re-release the same games Steam has. Outlaws obviously is a new one, which is great, but KOTOR is on Steam and has been on sale for as low as $2, so that's not going to be a big draw.

If Gog wants to make an impact, they'll come loaded with Outlaws, Rebellion & Grim Fandango. Games that really haven't been offered anywhere.

I agree, games not already on Steam or in a collection would be the best choices to release first. Outlaws seems to be a given, but I don't know if that is a big hitter enough to make news on announcement day.

seconded make em unique
I know I'm such a wet blanket, but I believe I am familiar with most of LA's catalogue and simply can't think of anything the "fear your past" thing could relate to. All the guesses I've seen here are extreme stretches.

KOTOR could theoretically come close, but the colour scheme and font are about as un-Star Warsy as you can get.
Oh man, I so hope for Rebellion! I don't care that many people thought it was bad, it was AWESOME!

I think it means KOTOR simply because there isn't much else it could be, as you say. Plus it's an easy to release game since it works fine on modern systems and is already on Steam.
