caffinemasta: Indeed. What good does it do, having a product, that isn't on sale, no new sequels being made, getting no publicity at all..thats an investment of time, effort and money, that doesnt pay anymore dividiends. Why not officially endorse it, kick up the dust, and make thousands of people happy, that are willing to pay for an finished product, thats already "in the can". Why do microsoft, activision, electronic arts sit and let so many classics sit and rot? Why don't they let them be sold on gog.com? and if not...why not have a similar section on their own websites..where you could use the same kinds of payment methods (visa, paypal,..etc)
Blizzard have an online store, and they offer their pre-WoW games DRM-free. It will be a win-win situation for them if they re-release their classics, they'll surely gain more users to create a Battle.Net account, and they'll make at least a few million in pure profits.
Big companies don't do that, because they'll then need to hire more people to provide technical support. That's why Windows or WoW, for example, are priced the way they are priced. You get 24/7 technical support.
