It's funny how some games can become well known because of the Internet. Phantasmagoria 2 became this because of the famous Let's Play by internet reviewer Noah Antwiller and the game deserves it.
APoF is the sequel to the controversial Phantasmagoria and like it's predecessor it's a FMV game. And it shows why I liked that period in gaming.
The story centers around Curtis Craig, an nerdy looking guy with a mysterious past. One day he starts getting disturbing visions and people start dying around him.
The gameplay is your standard point n' click same goes with the sound. But the story and acting is what makes this such an enjoyable experience.
The writing is so predicable and cheesy with the actors being either in the "dull surprise" or the "ham and cheese" camp that it actually pushes you forward into the plot. And the puzzles are in a league of their own, being so ludicrous and just "what" it's becomes one of the main features of the game.
Overall, Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh is a recommended buy if you want and "so bad, it's good" film, are a fan of FMV or just want to laugh on how bad your experience will be.
