tinyE: That has actually been recently disproven. Not only can they see what's happening on the screen they are also not colorblind as previously believed.

In fact it's only been in the last month or so that I read about this being officially documented so it's no slight being unaware of it.

Underestimated?! They even own a temple over Bali, also in Thailand and Malaysia :P

That's true! I saw it on Nat Geo. I dig primates so I'm all for it but I can understand how a real estate tycoon might be put off by the idea.

That's not enough. The whole world should kneel before monkey kind. And outside a handful of countries, dogs and cats are worshiped most. There are no temples I know of for dogs and cats but people still worship them the most outside of a handful of countries.

My dog would normally never even acknowledge the TV was there. Whenever I watched a documentary on wild animals though, he would be glued to the screen the whole time. He loved it.

P1na: I'll only believe it's real if it's from US
I want to be offended... but your probably just being realistic.

Well the USA is the number one exporter of entertainment in this world.

Yep. Specially if you mean weird stuff like this, it's really top class entertainment.

Have you seen the Jerry Springer show?
JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!

Who knew that being busted for bouncing a check to a prostitute while serving as the mayor of Cincinnati would end up being one of the more dignified things he'd ever do?

It seems to be some sort of canine "New Age".

Nope. In fact, the only Jerry I know kept running away from Tom.

Wow. My dog wouldn't have cared about that at all, but I sure found it relaxing. I like listening to ambient music when I read. Its still a lot cheaper to use shoutcast for that though.

Now that is some high class American entertainment. I love Tom & Jerry.
avatar
WBGhiro: Probably not since dogs aren't even able to see what's going on on a tv screen anyways.
I believe that's an issue with the refresh rate. The rate at which the images blur together for dogs is higher than for humans, hence why they're not getting the effect.

And considering that there's health insurance for dogs, and educational TV for infants, it wouldn't surprise me if people were foolish enough to pay for something this stupid.

My dog had no problem seeing TV. As I mention earlier, he loved watching nature documentaries. It was clear he could tell what was going on. He would not watch anything else either. Just nature documentaries.

Is that TV for monkeys?
