In fact it's only been in the last month or so that I read about this being officially documented so it's no slight being unaware of it.

That's true! I saw it on Nat Geo. I dig primates so I'm all for it but I can understand how a real estate tycoon might be put off by the idea.

That's not enough. The whole world should kneel before monkey kind. And outside a handful of countries, dogs and cats are worshiped most. There are no temples I know of for dogs and cats but people still worship them the most outside of a handful of countries.

My dog would normally never even acknowledge the TV was there. Whenever I watched a documentary on wild animals though, he would be glued to the screen the whole time. He loved it.

Wow. My dog wouldn't have cared about that at all, but I sure found it relaxing. I like listening to ambient music when I read. Its still a lot cheaper to use shoutcast for that though.

I believe that's an issue with the refresh rate. The rate at which the images blur together for dogs is higher than for humans, hence why they're not getting the effect.

And considering that there's health insurance for dogs, and educational TV for infants, it wouldn't surprise me if people were foolish enough to pay for something this stupid.

My dog had no problem seeing TV. As I mention earlier, he loved watching nature documentaries. It was clear he could tell what was going on. He would not watch anything else either. Just nature documentaries.
