I'm with Conan as well. Though, I am biased; I haven't liked Leno since he stole the Tonight Show out from under Letterman in 1992. However, I am not really worried about the whole thing.
The whole situation seems like a win/win/win for Conan to me. At least in the long run. Either NBC caves and gives Conan back the 11:35pm time slot for the Tonight Show, Conan sues NBC and wins $80 million for breach of contract and buys and island and gets a tan, or Conan loses the breach of contract suit and moves to a network that is a better fit (such as Fox).
A lawsuit between Conan and NBC would hinge on whether or not changing the time slot of the Tonight Show constitutes a big enough change in the property such that Conan isn't truly hosting the 'real' Tonight Show any longer. Since Conan's contract doesn't stipulate the timeslot (as many other previous host's contracts HAVE), but instead only names the property in question as the 'Tonight Show', this would be the only argument open to Conan.
I suspect that NBC and Conan will compromise, and Conan will accept a generous severance package while agreeing not to move to another network for a set time period. After that period is up, I fully expect him to move to FOX, since they have openly acknowledged that they would be interested in Conan starting a new late night schedule for them. He'll be back on the same network as the Simpsons then, where he was a writer right around the time that Carson retired from the Tonight Show.
I hope that happens, at any rate. The poetic irony would make me smile.
