I would personally destroy Hannah Montana, The Jonas Brothers, and any Disney themed band. I got in trouble in another forum when I said "Anyone who likes these bands should castrate themselves and eat their tiny balls," but I really do mean it. =)

Would you consider certain metal bands (Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, and Disturbed) Emo? If so, which ones?

Not too sure, I don't listen to much rock/metal music (most of what I have heard is a no), so I'm not familliar enough with those.
One way I categorise whiny emo rock is as follows: You have a singer singing, they try and scream but sound like a teenager who's voice has yet to break.

I think this says all I need to know about your intelligence level. Stop making useless threads please. I don't have anything against a thread to discuss music in, but a thread whose title and context openly promotes nothing but flaming, fingerpointing and immature language is not what I want to see on these forums.

Coldplay. They have so much potential, but absolutely, steadfastly refuse to live up to it in any way. You listen to their early stuff and think "wow, with some experience these guys will be amazing." But ten years down the line nothing's changed. It's like they recorded everything in one go and have been drip-feeding it to us ever since so they don't have to write anything new. Sigur Ros largely fits this description too. I just can't stand it when talented artists stagnate. I don't know how they do it, and if a slap would wake them from their reverie, I'd do it.
As for the bands mentioned in the first post, why give them any thought? It's like getting angry at water crackers. They're harmless, and totally irrelevant to everything in your life.

2) The destroy part was my way of emphasizing pimpslap. And the mentioning of the other forum was me basically saying; "This may or may not start a flame war. If it does, oh well, my fault."

Yes, but by the time I reached the fourth level or so, I found it too overwhelming and the fun factor kind of went away so I stopped playing. I'll get back to it someday
