I came prepared to blow $50 on "all the things on my wishlist" but instead I found a sale on exactly NONE of the games I am interested in owning. They're not bad games/I'm not faulting GOG for running a Weekend Promo, but... wherever you are in the world, it's hard to miss "Black Friday" as "A Chance to Make Some Serious Cash". Even if GOG happened to be based in central Africa, they are in the business of selling games and I feel they missed out on a big chance here.

By comparison, Gamestop (ick) got $80 from me.
B&H Photo online got $80.
Office Depot got $60.
Costco got $40.

GOG, last week, got $4 from me for a copy of Redneck Rampage.

I wanna support you, but I want... sales on games I care about! Thanks. You have the rest of December to get us half off Carmageddon, Shadow Warrior, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Painkiller, Urban Chaos... any of your FPS really. Hell, I'm still wishing for Judge Dredd and Phatasmagoria 1 (I bought part 2 on a sale earlier in the year because I never got a chance to own Puzzle of Flesh... part 1, yes.)
You may consider pick 5 games for $10 a Black Friday promo.
..and these forums lack a "trample to death" button too.

Disregarding that there is a Black Friday promo.
There's a weekend promo, a great pick 5 for $10 promo, recent discounts have been upped to 60%, and the big Xmas sale will be here in a few weeks. I think GOG are holding their corner pretty well.
It's Black Friday here *every* Friday with their weekend promos
Shadow Warrior only came out on GOG last week and Street Fighter Alpha 2 came out 2 weeks ago.

Having sales on those two games would hurt any future releases.

Black Friday is normally just a bad idea for retailers since it teaches consumers the real value of their goods

It's like the first three people here either didn't read my full post or... something's blank for them? I don't consider the games on sale right now to be anything special... In fact, there's all of 2 in the set I'd like but I mentioned at LEAST five games that I do want that are nowhere to be found.

Hardly the "Sale" and more of "An Offer".

Mr King: I get that, but hey... several games went on sale -just last week- that got a discount for Black Friday. Microsoft was selling Skyrim for $10! Also, I gotta "LOL" at the future sales comments: Pretty sure the games I've mentioned are all quite old and would actually sell quite well -on sale- here.

Also, black friday is a US thing. GOG is based in Poland.

Anyway, there is a black friday promo. Just because you don't want any of those games doesn't mean that it isn't a hell of a deal. It's just a hell of a deal that you're not interested in.

Well, I am not interested in the items they had on sale in the American Black Friday sales (that is, they're nothing special to me). Hence they weren't sales, but offers. I'm not interested in the stuff on sale at Steam's store either, so it's also an offer. I didn't consider the Friday all that black either.

It's pretty impressive that you mentioned at LEAST 5 games. They can be found by typing their names in the search bar above.
Wherever you are in the world? Are you one of those Americans who think that America = world? Like those American sports federations that insist on using the words 'worldwide' and 'international' to mean 'pretty much all of America and probably Canada too'?
GOG should start selling towels.

Yeah, that amuses me too.
First time I even heard about Black Friday was last year...

You can purchase games when they aren't on sale too. Don't know what to say other than that.

Yeah, how dare GOG not contact you and ask you specifically what games should be on sale. How dare they not pander solely to your tastes? It's an outrage!
