jepsen1977: There is a lot of nostalgia going on here at GoG and that's just the nature of the beast when you have a site dedicated to good old games. I'm 34 and I often think that games from my youth were better than what we get today - and maybe they were. But we often forget the horrible games from the past (ET, Daikatana) or the clones (Gianna Sisters, Nox). So even though I agree that most games these days are made by suits to monetize a product/industry and not made by game designers/artist with intellectual integrity, I still think we see good games today. I really loved Borderlands, Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3 and Stalker: CoP.
I tend to take the "middle way" and not just call everything made today shit - but I can also see that the truly great games was probably made before 2000. I've been critisized before for being too kind to modern games but for me games are first and foremost FUN so I really don't see the point of spending time and money to play games only to hate them and write angry reviews telling everyone how crappy the game industry is today. I will atleast try to enjoy the game eventhough there are games like Dragon Age 2, Rogue Warrior, Stormrise and Dungeon Siege that are impossible to enjoy.
Good reply...+1 Though I have to say I liked Dungeon Siege...I dunno why, it just clicked I guess. But you're right, we should enjoy things for what they are not when they were made.
