hedwards: I thought that you've been to the US. Trust me, sex crimes against men are not considered to be particularly serious here. The attitude around here has started to change and we have started to prosecute more and more women for engaging in sex with boys, but it's going to be a long time before men can be considered as valued in society as women are.

Given the epidemic of sex organ mutilation in American society, it's going to take a long time.

Personally, I don't consider that witch to be a feminist. As far as I know feminism mostly died out in the late 70s most "feminists" you run into today don't actually know the history of the movement. Feminism was about equality, even if it meant helping men out in some areas. The current generation is spoiled, egotistical and self entitled. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I rarely if ever meet any that aren't just using it as a cover for misandry.

If women would adhere to the notion of equality more regularly I'm sure that attitudes would change, but precisely why should I ever worry about the well being of some snot nosed brats?

orcishgamer: Fair enough, I'm willing to accept it as a feedback loop, if that's what it is. But I don't want to blindly assume it, because it's become obvious as I've taken my life's lumps that it's more complex than I originally assumed. It's worth reasonably proving that it's a feedback loop before treating it as such.

Please don't take this as a suggestion that we do nothing, ever, but some honest study would be welcome.

sethsez: It's not exactly a barren field. But I have to ask, what qualifies as an honest study? Not to pick on semantics, I'm just asking because I've seen that phrasing used as a precursor to "a study done by men, because women are too invested" and I want to make sure that's not what you mean.
I just mean one that's not obviously biased and full of bullshit, the gender of the scientists is irrelevant if they've done everything else correctly.

Calling people hypocrites in petty argument over someone's opinion is just daft. If you get on ego trip every time someone calls you a hypocrite then well done - you might as well start trolling.

And if that is what you do on this forum, do whatever you like - it's your right but maybe you should take it outside or even better - fight it over PM. Discuss the topic, ridicule it's daft message, don't squabble like kids on playground.

I did call him a hypocrite, but his opinion wasn't the reason. It was because people who get horribly offended (or act like it) over other people being offended by something is silly and arbitrary to me. I also think someone who says "boo-fucking-hoo, call the wahhhmbulance" probably has skin thick enough to be called a hypocrite.

And at this point you've got as many posts as him and one more than me in what was a three-post sidetrack, so rather than trying to play mediator while stoking the fire why not just stand back and let it die? I had no intention of replying to him again but you're not helping anything at all by dragging it out.

See, the thing is - that was my personal view on what was happening on the post. And I kind of got response I well expected - both of you concentrated on me.

And yes, I may have as many posts as both of you in this topic and indeed, even though my intention was not to strike the fire, I can use the same argument - you called Demut hypocrite instead of just not replying and letting argument die... Talking about hypocrisy eh? ;). You won't get any more arguments from me here - will let this die if you will of course, just pointing out - I was right in the end before I got bashed for dragging this on...

@Demut: Hope you see it as hilarious crap that happens on all forums all the time anyway ;) Otherwise if you will bash me again, you will support rape even more than you do already! XD

There's a disturbing number of "feminists" that believe that women are incapable of consenting to sex. That it's always for something, protection, attention, so they don't get dumped etc., which in my view strikes me as extremely misogynistic. If that were genuinely the case then either all men would be rapists (and not just supporters) or as a species we'd die out.

Perhaps women like sex, when they have a say and it's actually sort of good. But, I'm sure that can't possibly be true.
