StingingVelvet: I wish TV shows on iTunes were DRM free like the music is now. I would buy a fucking ton of TV show episodes if they were.
Aaron86: Trying to not sound like an Apple fanboy as much as possible, I believe the owners of the TV shows that are on iTunes now may be the ones insisting on their DRM the most. Before iTunes dropped the DRM for music, all songs were $0.99 each (Steve Jobs wanted all songs to be "equal" apparently). After the music DRM was dropped iTunes introduced variable pricing for songs, which can be interpreted as being a deal Apple made with the music companies.
Makes sense, I wasn't really applying blame. I think we all know publishers are the ones DRM happy, not distributors so much. In any case I just wish it were so... I collect boxed PC games but other than Doctor Who I don't care at all about TV show boxes. I would love to just buy episodes like I buy songs but I can't accept the DRM.
